we spent a fantastic weekend here as a group of 8 last weekend location was fantastic, beach superb, staff all extremely amenable. The hotel pool was lovely, rooms spotless, and hotel food very good Menu was fine for one night but as there are so many other places within walking distance, next time we would explore a bit more, for...

Stayed at Lacotel for business for a few nights during the Hossegor WSL - although rooms are basic, it was a very pleasant stay in a great location for me. The room had a nice view of the river (and carpark!) Days were warm but evenings and early morning was cold with no heating - or seemingly no aircon for...

The hotel overlooks a lake (across a road) and it's a 25 min walk to the town centre, but there are oyster bars nearby if you're looking for somewhere to eat other than the hotel retstaurant. There's plenty of free parking, the wifi worked and we had a small balcony overlooking the lake. The bathroom was separate from the loo,...

The rooms are fairly outdated but decent, while the bathrooms seem to have been renovated more recently, so all in all the rooms are OK. Ours also had a small balcony to sit outside overlooking the pool (other balconies overlook the entrance on the main road), which is a plus if you're staying a few nights and plan to go...

Reception was friendly helpful and efficient, The same is true of all staff who are excellent. The hotel is a bit tired but adequate. Breakasts were fine, but the one dinner we had disappointed. The shellfish were excellent and fresh but the crab and prawns had either been frozen or kept too long in a bucket of iced water. The...

just spend one night at this hotel. We took a quad room overlooking the lake. The room was clean and functional perfect for a family of four with older children as the two single beds were up the stairs. Staff on reception were welcoming on arrival. The only issue I had was on check out that my Expedia receipt said...

This is our third visit and have just had ten great nights here. We just cannot understand the comments about the rude staff. We have nothing but praise for all the staff, many young and enthusiastic and well balanced by highly professional older members - all pleasant enthusiastic, keen and eager to please. The situation of the hotel is perfect, opposite...

We were a party of six walkers and arrived exhausted to extremely unwelcoming and uninviting staff. As guests, we were made to feel a total inconvenience to the charmless staff. Not a great hotel, but in a great situation. The hotel was generally shabby, check in and checkout were chaotic and the restaurant too expensive for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was well worn and very ordinary. I wouldn't recommend.

“We were advised by the hotel to take a room at the back, not overlooking the lake to avoid noise from the road. In fact, we had to change rooms (no apology was offered), because we were kept awake from 3am by the noise of bathroom extractor fans left on by neighbouring guests. The walls in this hotel are very thin and the very poor insulation means that it would be unbearably hot in summer - it was very warm in September and we needed to keep the balcony open all day and night.”
