After traveling across the ocean, then by car, we arrived at the L'Orangerie and were greeted by David and Niels as if we were returning to our magnificent country home in France. What a setting, what a wonderful dinner and gracious hosts! We were clever enough to book an evening meal for our arrival and what a treat starting with...

En route back from a holiday in Provence, we spent two wonderful nights at L'Orangerie and couldn't recommend it more highly. Tucked away in a pastoral valley - with views from the garden of rolling countryside and Charollais cows grazing - this place is a haven of peace and beauty. The house itself is lovely, elegant and graceful, without being...

Our three days at L'Orangerie felt like we were staying in a beautiful home with friends. Our host, David, helped with local information and booked restaurants. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and elegantly served. The garden was beautiful and the surrounding countryside just breathtaking, We will definitely return.

Set right amidst grapevine country, David & Neils have created a quality chambre d'hote, peaceful and tranquil, secure. We were in the room with the door on to the terrace with the single beds. There is a guest lounge where you can sit and relax. If you are a TV lover, this is not for you as we never saw...

We have stayed for 2 days (too short) and received a great welcome by David. Nice cool swimming pool and an impressive garden to relax. Great breakfast with home made jams (with special ingredients..). No sound at all of the N80 which is on the other side of the hill. Nice restaurants nearby and of course great wines. We biked...

We booked for three nights and stayed for a week. Our hosts, for that, was how it felt, were friendly, interesting and attentive. The house and garden were lovely. Breakfasts were exceptional. Recommended without hesitation.

Me and my wife had an awesome stay at L'Orangerie. Its located just a bit south of Baune and in the middle of the Burgundy wine district. The pool is a great contribution to hot climate in the summer. The breakfast was amazing and the hosts the best! We will return as soon as we are able to!

My mother and I stayed at L'Orangerie in May. David and Niels were so wonderful to us and took care of us as if we were family. Our room was so comfortable, warm and well-appointed. Breakfasts were delicious and they set such a beautiful table. I enjoyed driving the countryside and both David and Niels were so helpful in their...

We loved our stay at L'Orangerie and the warm welcome by David and Niels. The huge private garden with all kinds of flowers and swimming pool was a perfect spot for our evening picnics and star gazing! What comes to mind when staying in this Bed and Breakfast is the amount of detail David and Niels put into everything they...

So many superlatives can be found in all the reviews so this will be brief, as memories are still fresh from our stay 4 weeks ago. We stayed with David and Niels the last 3 days of August and I so hope that visit will not be our last and only! We arrived much later than anticipated as had the...

“Asked for room No. 1, but were exceedingly pleased with our top floor, twin bed hideaway which is the largest room with an immaculately clean and generously sized bathroom. All furnishings, bedding, linen and breakfast were superb. Wonderful in every way.”
