My husband and I stayed at the Hotel des Gorges de Tarn while hiking the Robert Louis Stevenson trail. The front desk clerk was helpful, polite, and friendly. It is a beautiful hotel with a very nice restaurant. The food was a spot-on, entirely delicious, and the service was outstanding. It's typically not customary to tip in France, but we...

The room was nice, although small. Meals were quite good. But the thing that really impressed us was the friendliness of the staff. Both the folks at the front desk and the restaurant were kind and very accommodating.

The hotel is well-located for explorations of the beautiful Cevennes region and is only a few minutes walk from the central part of Florac which we explored by foot on our first morning. My room was in the front building (I didn't see, so can't comment, on the Annexe) and was very quiet at night. And dark too - once...

Parking easy. A few rooms are in the annexe and as we all know that never works well as you feel like you are in rooms over the garage and hey presto, you are. No lift, no AC but quiet and the place have been done up recently and everything, apart from the WiFi works. Grim single beds. The restaurant...

This is a three star hotel in the lovely unspoilt Cevennes region of France. It is on the GR70, and thus well placed for walkers on the Stevenson trail, although we arrived by car and did some walking locally, for which it also well placed. Our room was spotlessly clean and obviously designed by someone with a good eye for...

After a disappointing walk at Cham des Bondons, it was wonderful to relax in our light and airy room at this hotel. Totally renovated room with a wonderful soaker shower and shower cubicle, not a dreaded shower over the bath. The restaurant in the hotel is a Michelin Bib restaurant called Adonis. Quite posh tables and wait staff. We opted...

They set you up with a good breakfast and welcome you back after a long day in the hills with a superb three course dinner - wine included in the demi pension price. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with good, hot and roomy showers. The staff are friendly, efficient and very accommodating. We booked the hotel through Cevennes Evasion...

Great rooms, newly updated. Elevator. Wonderful restaurant. The only downside was a bit of neglect by our waitress at dinner (she spoke no English -- glad we had a French speaker with us.) Otherwise the food a great and fairly priced Would definitely stay there again.

Located in France's only inhabited national park, Cévennes, the Hotel des Gorges du Tarn in the charming village of Florac is within walking distance of the attractions, shops and restaurants. Rooms in the main reception building are handicapped- accessible and there's an elevator, but rooms in the back building require climbing 2 to 3 flights of stairs. All rooms are...

Food was amazing, one of the best steaks we've ever had, very good breakfast breakfast. Reception and waitresses very friendly, very good English. Room comfortable and clean, we stayed in the annex for 1 night on our drive through the gorge. Good value for money
