It's true to say that I arrived here a little deflated. Well, not me actually, but my bike, whose front tyre slow puncture had quickly developed to a full blown puncture a couple of kms from La Chamberte. So my first task was putting in a new inner tube, with which the host kindly assisted me and brought out his... More

Our flight back to the UK was cancelled because of Air Traffic Controllers' strike, but managed to get one the following day therefore needed an extra night somewhere. Whilst I was negotiating with Ryanair my daughter in the UK searched the web for somewhere close to the airport at Beziers and she found this little gem for us. A former... More

We had made a reservation a day before and were asked when we intended to arrive. I said around 1500 hours. She said okay to arriving between 1500 and 1600 hours. After a 7 hour drive we arrived to the B&B at 15.40 hours and very tired. The door was locked so I rang the bell. A rather disgruntled woman... More

La Chamberte is situated in the small village of Villeneuve les Beziers. Just over 20 euros by taxi from Beziers airport. You can walk along the Canal du Midi into Beziers, nice stroll of just under a couple of hours or there is a regular bus service from the village. The building is old and quirky and nicely decorated. Our... More

We spent a lovely week at La Chamberte. This cunningly converted building (which is a former wine store and will be of enormous interest to the architects and building enthusiasts amongst you) - is a cool and welcoming base for touring the region. The rooms are comfortable, attractively furnished and with good bathrooms and showers. There is parking nearby and... More

Not sure about the other reviews on this property but our stay was awful! We were on honeymoon and when we arrived we were given a room on the ground floor of what appeared to be a converted wine cellar. The room was dark and dank having 2 tiny windows opening onto other buildings which gave little natural light. The... More

We chose La Chamberte because we wanted to stay in a locally managed bed and breakfast with possibility of evening meal, with easy access to/from the airport and public transport links to Bezier city centre and beyond. We were well looked after both our hosts Caroline and Vivian, they were always available if we needed something, and helped plan our... More

We spent a couple of nights here and had delicious food: the restaurant was shut on one of the nights but we ate well, and reasonably cheaply, a short walk away. The bed was very comfortable and the air con essential! Caroline was attentive and very helpful and Vivian's food and daytrip ideas were also very much appreciated; we loved... More

We stayed here overnight whilst travelling south to Spain. We were the only guests at the time, but this was February! Excellent small b&b for overnight stay. Too far out of Beziers to walk Into town for a meal so we had our evening meal here too. Monsieur is the chef and Caroline did the service, her English is good... More

We based ourselves here for 4 nights and travelled to local beaches and visited easily accessible vineyards. The owners went out of their way to assist us in sorting out our travel money card problems in France. Their hospitality, delicious food, wine and genuine interest in their guests made it a wonderful return visit for us. Also visitors underestimate the... More
