Superb accommodation in verdant countryside. Bayeux is an easy drive in 20 minutes and Omaha beach (American cemetery) and Arromanches were the highlights for us in a (too) short stay. Maureen and Ian are excellent hosts and take the time to give lots of advice on where to go.

I find it difficult to add anything to the previous reviews other than to confirm that they are all spot on.It is hard to imagine a better place to stay particularly if you are interested in the WW2 sites.Maureen and Iain set the tone and every aspect is excellent.Good value too.Well done

Iain and Maureen have done a great job bringing this beautiful chateau back to life in the past 3 years. It is 45 acres of gorgious farmland, close to a quant village with an awesome market, but still very close to the D-day beaches and the surrounding towns that shouldn't be missed (bateaux, St. Michel, St. Malo, Dinard, and Deauville)....

My husband, 9 month old daughter and I have just returned from spending 5 days at the Manoir de la Riviere and had a thoroughly relaxing, very enjoyable stay. Iain and Maureen were so attentive and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend the hotel and the food. Food - Amazing, top class food. Highlight of the stay....
