Room was clean. Bed was VERY firm. Owner nice. But the overwhelming smell of animal in the room was too much. I actually looked in the bathroom and under the sink for a cat box. The hotel does allow animals, but we did not have one. They should have put us in a non-animal use room.

This isnt a bad as people make it out to be. This is a motel where they offer you a quaint cottage like room and atmosphere that has a kitchenette a small refrigerator and even a grill outside to cook on. The rooms are a bit out dated but who cares, your not there to spend your vacation you're there...

Upon arriving at the motel, we questioned whether or not we would like to rent a room, since most of the cabins looked to be of questionable quality. We decided to check out the rooms before committing to spending a week there. The room was rather dingy, with a window AC unit an a wall mounted heatig unit, and there...

The room was $79.00 per night so I wasn't expecting much. Pentwater is absolutely gorgeous so definitely visit this town. Try your best to find a different place to stay. The man at the desk is moody with a capital "M".

I was very disappointed with the service- there was none. The owner took my money when I arrived and I never saw him again. The office was not open one time in the three days I was there except to check me in. I rang the bell several times for assistance and got no answer. There was advertised free wi-fi,...

Pentwater is beautiful! We had a wonderful, relaxing time, and I wished I could stay longer! It is a vacation location that is touristy if you want, and secluded at the same time. Loved the cabin-like feel of the rooms and setting. I agree with ALL that is written by "TravelFun" and "MrsBug." Thank you Pines Motel for your part...

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Pines Motel in Pentwater and totally loved it! Our room was tidy and clean, with a kitchen sink, microwave and a mini fridge. Quiet night-time surroundings and comfy bed led to a good night's sleep. We already are planning to come back on a future vacation. The motel is a very...

I don't understand the treatment I received today over the phone from this "business owner". I called to cancel a reservation and to discuss setting a new date, and was abruptly hung up on after the owner uttered two words in response to my first question. "You're cancelled" was all he said. I'm cancelled all right. I am a former...

I was trying to find a place to stay in the Pentwater area. Called the Pines. Got an answer machine that only said "I'm not here. Leave a message." I wasn't sure this was the motel. Called back. A man answered. I was asking about the rooms (what they were like, how many beds, etc). He said (gruffly) "We have...

My husband and I love our little overnight road trips. We're definitely budget travelers, but we love being by any of the Great Lakes. Those two items are generally mutually exclusive. However, we discovered the Pines Motel and were very pleased with the great price, the cleanliness of the rooms and the little touches like the antique looking dresser and...
