Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a wonderful couple of days staying with Holly and her team. The Beds comfortable and the room was a good size. We ate there both evenings and had the included breakfast both mornings and the food was extremely good. We will definitely be returning again.

We had a wonderful stay here, the pub is beautiful and cosy with a cracking menu. The food was perfect and the staff were so welcoming. Our room was comfortable, we could not fault anything about our stay. Our dog came with us and to say this is a dog friendly establishment is an understatement! Our dog was given so much fuss and was so pampered he even had a doggy beer! Would definitely recommend and we can't wait to visit again, thank you xx

The rooms were excellent, with beds that were very comfortable. The service/food is outstanding. I highly recommend the breakfast and the their home-made pies, but all the food looked good. The local ales are also very good. It is so very relaxing!

We were warmly greeted by Amanda who seated us and explained that the picturesque pane glass window was the original coach entrance to the Inn ( Nice touch) service was friendly, prompt and efficient, our meals were delicious and unlike the pub a couple of miles away, was fairly priced. We relaxed by the fire and played games for a good hour. Great job guys.

You couldn't ask for a friendlier place to stay! Clean and comfortable and blessed with a superb chef/chefs (dinner and breakfast were both fabulous). I've spent the last 20 years trying to find a creme brulee to match a practically perfect one I experienced and the one I had here exceeded it! Not to mention the fact that it came with a candle and a chorus of Happy Birthday from all the diners. the stay at the Rose and Crown and the walks on the Ridgeway definitely made my 67th a birthday to remember.

We had a lovely friendly welcome and stay here. The room was lovely - warm comfortable and nicely furnished. The food was very Its an ideal place from which to explore the Ridgeway- either on a walking trip or visiting the nearby historical sites. We would definitely return.

We couldn’t have had a warmer or friendlier welcome. Very comfortable rooms with the luxury of a bath after a long day walking the Ridgeway and such an interesting and delicious menu with every dietary requirement catered for in style. Breakfast set us up a treat for the next day of hiking

Just spent two nights staying at The Rose and Crown, with friends whilst walking The Ridgeway. One of the friendliest welcomes ever, and Holly and her team were kind, helpful and lovely. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast and supper options were varied and flexible. Packed lunches made for us for our walks. The pub itself has a good atmosphere, and the people we met from the local community were all charming and friendly. Thank you Holly for such a warm welcome.
