I have never done a review on a B&B or hotel, however I felt like I needed to make sure and share our great and wonderful experience with others. Carriage House at the Harbor is one of those experiences where it's more than just a great nights sleep or a really nice breakfast............it's the way that the Innkeeper makes you... More

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our visits with innkeeper and staff. They were very helpful with local info. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and typical Victorian. We had a little balcony, which was nice. Breakfasts were almost more than we could eat, and delicious! Easy walk to town and 1... More

We have been to South Haven before and thought it would be fun to try a new place to stay. The location was nice, an easy walk to the main part of town and a great view of the harbor from the Inn, but we were disappointed in our stay. When the owner, as she was showing us to our... More

We have been coming to the Carriage House for a few years now and it never disappoints. I bet we have stayed in 1/2 of the rooms at the Inn and each one has its own B&B feel. We stayed in The Barouche this past week. It is on the 3rd floor so not for the person who has trouble... More

My sisters and I visited this wonderful bed & breakfast for a long weekend this past week. We had excellent service and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! Suzanne and Marcia were perfect hostesses! The rooms were ready early when we arrived and were perfect. Next time we will try for a room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. They... More

For the last 10 years my husband and I have spent Labor Day weekend at the Carriage House. It is my favorite weekend of the year. The house is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The breakfast are delicious and well planned. The staff is friendly and we have formed friendships with other guests who also return... More

I can't believe that I didn't come here last time! This place is very comfortable and well-receiving for those looking for a one-day-getaway, and while the price may be a little higher than what one would expect from a typical, run of the mill hotel room, the close proximity to the beach and Northern South Haven's attractions is worth every... We stayed for 2 nights in the Victoria Suite, which has a nice deck and beautiful view of the harbor, a fabulous breakfast and friendly staff. We loved having our own private entrance as well. The rate was $310 per night (plus tax and fees), which I thought was over priced. The Suite can accommodate up to 3 people, however... More

As the new innkeeper, I Marcia, own responsibility for your disappointment; I came up short. I should have supplied extra towels. I should have informed you the linens on the sofa-bed are always clean although they get severely wrinkled from being crushed back into sofa-size. I sincerely apologize for the disappointing elements of your experience. More

We read the previous reviews and expected to arrive to a wonderful bed and breakfast. From the outside it looks nice. Our room had NO decor... plain walls and some cheap framed magazine covers that were faded. Old small bathroom with no updates or not cleaned very well. The king size bed was very very hard, did not sleep well.... More

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. The Victoria used to be the innkeeper’s quarters and our website states it is not decorated like the rest of the house; it also mentions the small bathroom and doesn’t say anything about a kitchen. Thank you for bringing the kitchen to our attention and we will make sure the microwave... More

Our bedroom was a great room and the entire house was nicely decorated, with good breakfast! The two dining rooms overlook the harbor. Within walking distance of the downtown area. The staff was also more than friendly.
