Travellers' Choice
Set in mature gardens with mountain views, Mansefield, a popular guest house in Fort William, lies on the Road to the Isles and only a few hundred metres from the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way. Corpach Station is 200 metres away and the local bus stop is directly opposite our house, easy. We have 6 en-suite rooms, including a well sized single room. 3 rooms overlook Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour hills, with views of Ben Nevis and the Grey Corries, whilst the other 3 rooms enjoys beautiful garden views. (Take 5 mins on the window seat and watch the antics of our garden birds!) Guests are welcome to relax in the sitting room overlooking one of our gardens. The Victorian style of the room is emphasized by the log fire, making for a cosy atmosphere during those colder nights we sometimes have here in Scotland! There are many books and magazines to read, in addition to lots of tourist information to help you plan your next day's sightseeing excursions or assault of the "Ben". Our garage can by used to store your bikes, and we have a drying room available for your wet weather gear.

Very clean and comfortable guest house a little way outside Fort William. Breakfast was fine, parking ok. Fairly typical of the good standard that now exists. Nothing bad to say. Interesting owners if you get a chance to chat.

Stayed here on the evening before we started the Great Glen Way. The location is ideal if you would prefer to miss out the walk from the centre of Fort William as it is only a few minutes away from Neptune’s Staircase. Lovely room, friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast from a really varied menu. Definitely would recommend a stay here.

Bev and Tony were both excellent hosts, full of attention to detail. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room clean and well presented. Excellent small touches such as the bubble baths. Breakfast was amazing. I can recommend the Eggs Mansefield.

The B&B was easy to find, there was enough parking and is a good location overall. The room it's self was nice. We had the superior king, the bed was really comfortable. The room was big and clean we could not complain at all, everything you would need was in there. The B&B was prefect apart from, hotel.com state you can check in between 4pm - 10pm however this is NOT correct! Leading into a rather frosty/rude check in on arrival. I did call ahead to advise we were still on route but this was quite a rude conversation to have. Arriving at 940pm the B&B was not happy and made in known to us, I explained that hotel.com advertised these times for check in and it was the information we had received the reply was "I don't own hotel.com" I thought this was quite a rude and unnecessary remark. I'm sure the information on hotel.com can be altered to the correct times. It was also stated that emails had been sent to us about the check in process, these were found after being made aware in junk mail. However the email did not state check in times only to arrange it with the B&B. *For information* Check in times are actually 4pm - 6pm and to arrange prior to arrival. The breakfast in the morning was served to our room at the requested time and was really enjoyable. Overall this was a very good stay the only downfall was the rude reception, this would put me off booking in the future. Luckily for us this was just somewhere to sleep for the night moving on early the next morning. The reception made us quite uncomfortable and would of made us feel quite awkward for the rest of of the stay if we were to stay any longer. If the check in times were so important the B&B could have called my phone number was provided when we didn't show up at 6pm.
