Set in mature gardens with mountain views, Mansefield, a popular guest house in Fort William, lies on the Road to the Isles and only a few hundred metres from the Caledonian Canal and the Great Glen Way. Corpach Station is 200 metres away and the local bus stop is directly opposite our house, easy. We have 6 en-suite rooms, including a well sized single room. 3 rooms overlook Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour hills, with views of Ben Nevis and the Grey Corries, whilst the other 3 rooms enjoys beautiful garden views. (Take 5 mins on the window seat and watch the antics of our garden birds!) Guests are welcome to relax in the sitting room overlooking one of our gardens. The Victorian style of the room is emphasized by the log fire, making for a cosy atmosphere during those colder nights we sometimes have here in Scotland! There are many books and magazines to read, in addition to lots of tourist information to help you plan your next day's sightseeing excursions or assault of the "Ben". Our garage can by used to store your bikes, and we have a drying room available for your wet weather gear.

Stayed here on the evening before we started the Great Glen Way. The location is ideal if you would prefer to miss out the walk from the centre of Fort William as it is only a few minutes away from Neptune’s Staircase. Lovely room, friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast from a really varied menu. Definitely would recommend a stay here.

We really had a wonderful two night stay with Bev & Toby as our hosts. Welcoming touch with our names on the blackboard on arrival😊. Beautiful flowers & special touches with herbs used within the house from the beautiful gardens & stunning views of Ben Nevis & the Great Glen. Nice, clean room with very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really tasty & well presented. All Covid19 hygiene guidelines followed therefore felt safe. Thanks again, we will return one day.

Everything was great. Very comfortable, very clean, everything very well cared for and nice quality. Very peaceful. Great breakfast. I stayed in the single room which was a decent size with a spacious feel. Although the guest house was full I didn’t hear a sound through the night - slept like a log. Great location if like me you’re using public transport: bus stop with regular service is straight outside, and train station just 5 or 10 mins walk away.

Situated conveniently just outside Fort William, the Mansefield was a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The rooms are small but cosy and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. Toby and Bev were gracious and hospitable hosts who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Close to the Jacobite train and Loch Linnhe cruises, this is a great place to stay.

I arrived at 4pm, was greeted by Bev and shown to my room. She came back up and kindly asked me to move my car as 6 other cars needed to park, which of course I agreed, and moved it. I went back to my room, chose breakfast online (you had to choose before 9pm). About 20:00 I changed breakfast to ‘no breakfast’ as I was attempting Ben Nevis the next day so thought it was best to leave early seeing as I was doing it solo. I went to sleep and woke up 4:30am, ready to set off 5:30am. I was ready and packed, walked outside to see that another car had parked in front of mine; and there was one next to it, locking me in. Obviously I was furious at the car in front of me as I don’t think it’s appropriate to ever park in front of someone else’s vehicle, especially without asking me. 05:30 I rang the bell to Bev’s room and she woke up and came downstairs. I explained the situation to her, she said that SHE had said to the person with the blue car that it was ok to park in front of mine, as she thought I was having breakfast and therefore not leaving after 7:30. I explained I had changed it about 20:00 as it says last decision before 2100. She explained she could give me his room number but ‘he wouldn’t appreciate me waking him up to move his car’. At this point I was furious and upset as I really needed to go. I asked Bev how far of a walk it is to Ben Nevis car park. She said 40 minutes; when actually I checked and it was an hour and a half walk. But why should I walk when I have a car??? She did not have much to say after this, very cold attitude towards me and didn’t really care at all about the situation, I then said ‘well I’ll wait in the car until he wakes up then shall I?’ And to this she shrugged her shoulders and said it will be a while as his breakfast is 08:30. I went and sat in the car obviously extremely furious. It had upset me that they didn’t ask me if it was ok for him to park there, didn’t even ask if I was planning to leave to go somewhere between 1800-the morning. They happily restricted my access to my OWN vehicle for the whole night. What if I wanted to leave during the night? Early morning? If I had an emergency!! How dare they make that decision to restrict me from leaving. About 06:30, a man came from the house and knocked on my car window. His demeanour was very cold. He stated that we had texted and I didn’t tell him I was leaving this early. I didn’t realise I ever had to? Whether or not I’m leaving early, no one should restrict access to my own car without consent. He moved the car for me and off I went.

Other than this, the room was very clean and good location. Cannot comment on breakfast as I chose not to have any.

Small details make a difference. Big, fluffy towels, including facecloths, USB ports so you didn’t need a converter, great shower with shampoo and body wash. Breakfast was great. If I had one small complaint it was the bed in Room 1 was a little uncomfortable. Great stay.

We were greeted in person by the owner with a very Australian accent which made us smile somewhat!
The owners are lovely and have made the accommodation very homely albeit on the more traditional Scottish B&B side. The room we had felt a little cramped, but for just 1 night it was fine.
Breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal.

Michelin style breakfast, stunning views, and service better than most 5 star hotels! Toby and Bev are running a superb, quality place. It’s full of character and charm, and the hosts go out of their way to make you feel ever so comfortable. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed in.

This was my second stay at Bev and Tobys guesthouse.
As per the first visit, I was met with a warm and friendly welcome.
I stayed with friends and both rooms were spotlessly clean, with fantastic views over the mountains.
The house is full of charm and character and dotted with curiosities that they've collected on their travels over the years.
The breakfasts are good quality ingredients and cooked/presented well.

If you're looking for accommodation in the area, I can highly recommend The Mansefield Guesthouse- Great guesthouse and a lovely couple.

I enjoyed a wonderful four night stay at Mansfield in May 2023. The guest house is very comfortable. My en suite room was well furnished and I enjoyed a good sleep each night. Breakfast offered a wide choice of items, the signature dish Eggs Mansefield was particularly delicious. Bev and Toby are fantastic hosts and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, a terrific stay.
