Went for a weekend getaway and had a great time! The lodge is beautiful and the scenery was gorgeous. The whole property, including the house itself is immaculate. There's no cell phone reception there but who needs reception when you have the beauty of Northern Michigan! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone, especially if you aren't quite sure of... We were greeted by hosts Rhonda and John who showed us to our charming room. From our window we could see the Sturgeon River flowing by. Paths for hikes abound and a breakfast of pumpkin pancakes with apple cider syrup was truly delightful. This wonderful b & b is located on thirty acres of woods with hiking paths throughout. Everything... More

I just want to thank owners John and Rhonda for their hospitality, I can't say enough, they have a true gift. The accommodations were outstanding along with a super breakfast. This is a great location to spend a week or weekend, Mackinaw or Petoskey are only a 40 minute drive. Death to the hotel chains......

This romantic retreat in Northern Michigan is a spectacular log house on the Sturgeon River surrounded by 30 acres of woods with hiking/ cross-country skiing trails. The lodge-style house is warm, welcoming and spotless and is surrounded by numerous well kept gardens, filled with all sorts of flowers and vegetables, as well as a small pond. A short path through... More

We didn't stay in the lodge rented one of their River Cabins. The river cabin has the best locations right on the River. Decorated up north cabin style. Everything you need- except Internet and cell phones don't work at the cabin! Total dead zone. Tv only 2 channels - rent movies or read a book. They do provide a land... More

What a delightful escape to serenity! This log home, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, is set deep in the woods, away from daily routine and daily schedules. I enjoyed my morning coffee listening to birds and swinging on the swing in stunning quiet. John and Rhonda are efficient and unobtrusive hosts who produce mouth-watering breakfasts. Thank you, John and Rhonda, for... More

We looked for a centrally located lodge for day trips to Mackinac, Petoskey, and Charlevoix, and were absolutely blessed to stay with warm and inviting hosts John and Rhonda. The log cabin decor is welcoming, elegant but rustic, with beautifully designed interior, as well as exterior landscaping viewed from the dining room and surrounded by tall trees. It is secluded... Our group of six greatly enjoyed our visit in August 2015. We were in the River, Meadow and Mountain rooms and each room was very comfortable and met our needs.
