Arrived just after 5pm on a Friday for a couple of nights. Steve greeted us and nothing was too much trouble. We were in effect a family of five. My 90 year old Aunty had a double room and we had a spacious family room. (If you are tall expect to need to duck.) These premises epitomise what an Old...

Looking for a place to stay overnight in the Upper Wharfedale area, I remembered I had stayed a few times at the Queens Arms many years ago, so decided to give it a try. It was excellent! In relatively new ownership, we were made very welcome, had a great room overlooking Littondale and had wonderful food. The beer (real ale)...

The Queens Arms is a lovely country pub, well worth visiting. We'd first come across the pub a number of years ago and last stayed there in 2009, so were disappointed when it closed down and then pleased to find out that it had been taken over and reopened. With tickets for the Food Festival in nearby Skipton, we decided...

Visited on a Saturday evening and was very disappointed. I had the Pan fried Pheasant Breast served with dauphinois potato, wild mushrooms, spinach, purple chantenay carrot, toasted pine nuts and gravy – £13, whilst my wife had the Sea Bass served on a bed of crushed new potatoes, wild samphire, lemon butter and pan roast king prawns – £13. Whilst...

Fab little find. Relaxed country feel, such a great welcome with a roaring fire, good wine and delicious food. Beautifully furnished quaint cottage rooms with a cheeky port on offer before retiring. Great views from the window. Definitely worth a stay.

We dropped in after a long walk on a cold, muddy day today. Excellent welcome and lovely warm atmosphere in the small bar. The place filled up quickly and it was difficult to leave. The beer (local blonde) was best I've had in ages and we had a small Sunday roast (£7) but plenty there and very tasty sea bass...

Just back from an excellent weekend away in peaceful Littondale, far from the madding crowd! Had a two night stay at the Queens Arms where we were given a warm welcome. What a lovely country inn with outstanding views across the valley. Such a peaceful location. The room was very comfortable with excellent en-suite. Very clean, tidy and warm. Breakfast...

We went for dinner last Tuesday, it started snowing heavily at 6pm and did not stop till 9am the next day. But we got there and back with no problems. In view of the weather it was very quiet as it is in a very isolated Yorkshire Dales location. The lady who served us was very helpful and friendly as...

We've stayed in many locations on our walking weekends but this is the best by far. A very warm welcome on arrival. Excellent rooms and lovely bar. The menu changed each day and the food was superb. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and a real fire going when we arrived downstairs. The place has an excellent friendly atmosphere...
