Here is a destination for a great African experience. The hospitality is outstanding. The food is good. The tents we stayed in reminded us of the luxury we experienced in the Serengeti. The organization of meal times, game drives and entertainment is excellent. Tom, one of the managers, needs to be lauded for his constant attention. Considering all that is...

Although not on the main track for tourists it can be reached easily on good roads. Tembe is being run by members of the local tribe and they do it well. You are being welcomed by the girls singing some traditional songs and then guided to your - quite comfortable - tent. Tembe Park is not very big, but you...

One of the best places we've ever stayed. Tembe gives the perfect combination of natural wilderness feel with a luxurious stay. Tembe is also very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back in the near future. The community and staff share in the profits of the lodge and they make sure that your every need is attended to. Brilliant experience...

This was my 3rd visit to Tembe and my *worst* one so far. Of course, on average this is still really a nice place and good value for money. Also it is a community initiative and creates employment in a very poor area and this is very commendable. But I feel that there is a lack of professionalism coming through....

We had a two night stay at Tembe in December with family. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend a stay here. The staff is fabulous -very gracious and accommodating. The tents were great - especially loved the outdoor showers! Beds were very comfortable and the nature sounds lulled us to sleep. Each meal was delicious and satisfying....

The newly built tented units are spacious and really beautifully decorated. The beds and pillows are extra comfortable and the units are super clean. The outdoor shower is amazing! Dining was always an occasion to look forward too as the menus are varied but still very South African. The staff are attentive and takes notice of every guests preferences. Our...

If you haven't been back to Tembe since they have renovated, its time to make your booking :) With the dining area and bar being totally rebuilt, Tembe offers you all the comforts of a great all-inclusive bush experience. With very experienced game guides and the big-5 to offer at a very reasonable price, Tembe is my favorite game reserve....

4 nights was perfect here. We enjoyed the tasty food (not fancy but delicious), especially the breakfast! The comfortable tents were very clean and roomy, the pool was pleasant (small but refreshing on a hot day). We had great game drives with lovely, knowledgeable guides. We were unlucky to be there in extreme heat, but still had a wonderful time....

The park's accommodation is great and the food was good. The staff are friendly and the cost is bearable for South African's and cheap for visitors from overseas. However, I must say that the logistics are not up to scratch and silly things happen. With one vehicle broken, the booking office still accepted a large group, at the last minute,...

We went to this place. We booked our own vehicle at great extra cost, as we wanted to make the most of the photographic opportunities. The weather was not great, not the establishments fault of course. The guide clearly had no idea about photography and comments like "there's a branch in front of subject" did nothing whatsoever. we did see...
