My boyfriend and I stayed in the Ellery suite over my birthday weekend. We had an amazing time. The separate room with small fireplace was amazing to unwind after the day and to also eat breakfast by. The breakfast was filling and very delicious, and we very much enjoyed the ability to eat in our room. The first morning we...

Jim is very welcoming and the house is beautiful. We stayed in their Ellery suite which has so much room. We opted to have the delicious breakfast in the room. The house is close enough to the walking paths down by the lake - which is phenomenal. The only drawback for us was the traffic on the road outside by...

Cookies, coffee, tea always available. Any questions about what to do in Duluth, Jim can answer them. Breakfasts extremely tasty with very generous portions. See picture of fruit plate for two. My wife has special dietary needs; the dish they made for her could have made me jealous if my dish wasn't so good.

We had one night in this fabulous bed and breakfast & wish we could have stayed for longer. This is one of the best we have stayed in. Decor spot on, comfortable rooms and TRULY gourmet breakfast. Jim, the host, is a really interesting and interested person - he gave us some great tips on places to see, visit &...

We recently stayed at The Ellery House to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We stayed in Daisy's Suite which was very comfortable. It was a very cold weekend (below zero) but we were instantly warmed by the cozy fireplace in the sun porch. Joan is a wonderful cook. Jim gets an A+ for presentation of the fruit. The food was beyond...

When we called to upgrade our suite with the Sweetheart package, we were delighted to see such a wonderful Room. The B&B was a gift from family and friends for our wedding and mini honeymoon. I love to stay in B&Bs because they tend to be more cozy and warm. This one did not disappoint at all in any way....

We stayed at The Ellery House to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. We spent three nights in Daisy's Suite, which included the Romance Package of roses, champagne, truffles, mugs, etc. The view of colourful fall trees from the windows of the sun porch was lovely in the day time, and it was cozy in the evenings sitting by the little fireplace....

Ellery House is a beautiful B & B in Duluth. Jim was a tremendous help to us as this was our first visit to Duluth. He gave us tips on sights to see and restaurants that would appeal to our tastes. Jim also suggested other stops along the way to our next destination in Minnesota, and as usual, he was...

Jim couldn't be kinder. So informative and gracious toward this couple who had never been to Duluth. His wife, Joan, is an excellent cook. She made our breakfasts memorable. The home itself was quaint and charming. Just what you would expect in a Victorian home. Five stars go to Jim and Joan.

Love the character of the house. We stayed in the Daisy suite and spent most of our time in the sunroom, cozy! The house could use a little updating but our host was wonderful and friendly and breakfast was delicious.
