Get a tetanus shot before staying. 4 families stayed here August 4-7, 2016 (16 people). We rented 2 camp sites 29, 28 and cabin 6 and 3. We camp together each summer and we will NOT BE RETURNING! Warning: The brick/stone bathhouse near the cabins above is a health hazard. The bathhouse was filled with spiders, bugs, cobwebs, filth, and...

We read the reviews and still ventured out for a stay. My wife and I plus 4 kids ages 8-18. We arrived and were assigned site 25. We have a pop up camper and the kids like to sleep in a tent. There was no way we were fitting in that site not to mention having a campfire. We approached...

Every year, a group of us get together for a camping weekend. This year, we rented 9 campsites from Woodlawn Resort & Campground, and one cabin - this review is based on the resort as a whole, the campsites, and the cabin. First, I would highly recommend against renting a cabin at Woodlawn. They are incredibly run down. The first...

From the outside view, I wouldn't stay in the cabins, but for campers with tents or RVs, this is a great place to stay. 30 amp hookups! Yes it's rustic, yes it's run down, and no, it doesn't fit the bill of a "resort." We stayed this summer twice and one of the times the site was plump full of...

The resort is old and needs sprucing up. There are 2 bath houses on the grounds. One has 1 toilet and 1 shower for women and the same number for men. This building should be condemned and torn down. Utterly disgusting. The second bath house had 2 toilets and 1 shower for women and the same number for men. We...

Our family stayed at the campground over the 4th of July and had a great time. The family that owns it was very welcoming and helpful. The kids had a lot of fun on the playground equipment even though some of the pieces are older. They loved the teeter totter! Our campground was a decent size and we had 2...

It's really too bad this place is so dumpy. It could be so much more, but it's clear the owners are not interested in updating. The cabin was a patch job falling apart. Cobwebs and evidence of water damage. Yeah, I know they were flooded awhile back, but a new roof would help! Cabin wasn't to code as the fire...

We showed up 3 hours before check-in time and first thing we were told is we would get charged for 1/2 day if we checked in then, when we did check in we had to pay the balance before we could even have the key to the cabin, that's because they don't want you to see the dump other wise...

Large campsites! Owners are very friendly and accommodating! Bathrooms could use some updating! Beach is really nice and not terribly busy. Place is rustic and could use some updating, but it has a quirky charm about it! Would camp there again! Close to Alexandria, so you can run into town for those forgotten items or a Caribou fix :)

Gotta say that the family that runs the resort is very friendly, personable, and easy to like. The campground looks like it would be a good place to stay, although it was devastated by downed trees and flooding when we were there. All cabins are about a block from the lake, but have a good view of it. Didn't check...
