Open all year round, York South is a quiet seasonal touring site with excellent pitch privacy and rural surroundings. An adult only and dog friendly base, it's only 20 minutes from historic York and its attractions. We offer large hard standing pitches for caravans (some being fully serviced) with astro-turf awning bays with individually hedged private grass garden. We have an 16a electric hook-up & water tap on every pitch. Electric is metered so you simply pay for what you use. Our site is perfect for those seeking peaceful & relaxing breaks within an immaculately clean & well maintained environment, boasting pristine shower/wc facilities, with the added bonus of having easy access to York and surrounding areas. Positioned in open countryside, we are 3/4 mile outside Cawood village which offers 3 dog friendly public houses, traditional village shop with post office/deli counter/cafe & garden centre with cafe. Supermarkets are a 5-minute car journey away. We also have good motorway links with the A1, M62 & A19.

We couldn’t make our mind up about a seasonal pitch, should we shouldn’t we......It’s one of the best decision’s we ever made. We are in our 2nd year at York South. We love the site, it’s clean, tidy and most of all it’s lovely and quite. It’s also a good base for exploring the local area......

We have had a seasonal pitch on South York since last September, and we love it. Beautifully kept site, with great facilities if needed. Very friendly site for people as well as their dog. Lovely quiet site with gorgeous sunrise and stunning sunsets. Been on seasonal sites before, but wouldn’t want to move from here. We are very happy indeed. Keep up the amazing work Pete and Gaynor.

Came to this site for a week never left that was 18 months ago. Site is kept spotlessly clean facilities are spotless and cleaned twice a day. Nearist village is about 1 mile away has shop and 3 pubs. Selby is only 4 miles away. Peter and Ganyor are lovely couple doing a brilliant job. Thanks David & Pauline.

Highly recommend this site, the site and amenity areas are all very well looked after and knowing that our pride and joy is safe and secure with the cctv and security gates is a real plus. The local village of Cawood has 3 good pubs which are within walking / cycling distance. If you need shopping etc Selby is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Cant wait for lockdown to end so that we can return and explore the area, and surrounding villages.
