Stayed for a business trip and would normally have been booked into a nearby dull hotel but I am SO glad I found my own place to stay this time. The Dolish Farmhouse has been brilliantly restored into a large home with B&B and self catering accommodation. I stayed in the Hense

Thank you so much for your very detailed and helpful review of your stay at Dolish. W'ere glad you liked the huge bathroom adjacent to "Hense Moor" bedroom with its historic (renovated!) original roll-top bath. (For the benefit of other prospective guests, we do of course also have en-suite accommodation as an alternative, like our superking "Hartridge" room which includes a 6 foot bed, a comfortable sofa and a well equipped en-suite shower room.) We are delighted that you will be be returning to stay with us on your next series of visits to the area next month.

My husband and I stayed at this delightful B&B for two nights whilst attending a local wedding. The Hartridge bedroom was lovely with an extremely comfortable bed. The property owners were very friendly and we were made to feel really welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend

Many thanks for your recommendation. Very glad you found Hartridge to be such a comfortable room. It is certainly very spacious and almost all our room guests find the 6 foot superking bed with memory foam matress to be supremely comfortable. Having a good sized sofa in the room also helps to make it a relaxing space. We hope you may choose to stay with us again in the future.

What a stunning farmhouse B&B! Jane and Jonathan welcomed us into their lovingly converted home for a weekend stay in the Blackdown Hills. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was really comfortable with the best shower ever in the en-suite. The freshly cooked farmhouse

Thank you for sharing your views of your stay at Dolish Farmhouse! We're so pleased that you enjoyed this special part of East Devon and that you found your accommodation here comfortable. We think providing good showers is essential. Our showers provide a good volume of water rather than a small pinpoint flow at high pressure...you don't to be "jet-washed" in the shower! It's a more refreshing feeling as though you're under a small waterfall. Surprisingly this seems to use less water - perhaps a better shower leads to a shorter shower? We do hope you are able to return for another visit soon.

Thank you for your comprehensive and positive appraisal of your visit to Dolish Farmhouse. Particularly pleased that you managed to see the entire hillside at nearby Dumpdon hill absolutely swathed in a blue haze from the drifts of bluebells - probably at their best we have seen in the last few years. ..the English countryside at its best! I hope you'll be able to visit again soon.

We visited in March for a weekend with my parents in pursuit of family history in the Luppitt area. It was such a great stay and a good location to go whizzing around the Blackdown Hills and South Devon. Jonathan and Jane were so accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much

Thank you for your lovely comments which are so encouraging for us - it's very rewarding to know that we are making our guests happy! It was also very interesting to hear all about your grandfather's association with Dolish Farm and the village. The restoration of the courtyard is coming on apace and is already a wonderful sunny and sheltered space which will be an added feature of the view from the Cider Loft and which we look forward to showing you on your next visit.

"The Cider loft has a sunny aspect in the morning. Lovely views too."
"I cannot imagine a disappointed traveller, whichever room you stay in..."
"Hense Moor has a beautiful private bathroom, complete with a huge roll top bath with views out to the garden!"
"If you are tempted to self cater, this is the happy compromise! the Cider Loft is a part of the B and B, you get the personal advice and service, but breakfast when you choose, and cook your own meals if you fancy, though there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs around (though not within walking distance)."
"Each room is large and airy and very comfortable"
