Stayed here for a night on our way to Cairns. I can't believe I've never stayed here before! Right on the water - powered sites 1-4 are terrific. Great welcoming staff, great beer prices & the offer of a roast with veggies for $15 per person. It's not a 5 star park but I would definitely come back because of...

We are actually at St Lawrence Campground, which is about 60ks south of Clairview, but St Lawrence is not on Trip Advisor (however we are probably heading to Clairview tomorrow. But we think this campground deserves a special mention. It's a couple of k's off the highway, so nice and quiet. Huge area to easily fit just about any type...

We were driving to Airlie from Brisbane and this is such a perfect stop to get off the motorway at.... And only 5 mins out of the way. Very peaceful and right on the waterfront. We were sleeping in our small van but there was plenty of grassy area around. There's also a great rustic bar on the beach which...

We chose Barracrab because it was so close to the beach and we wanted to avoid stopping in larger towns on our road trip. We stayed in unit 17 which I think may have received some less than favourable reviews in the past. Unit 17 is positioned close to the beach with kitchen, lounge area and two bedrooms. The larger...

Ok to stay if passing thru. Sites a bit small and instead of spreading out campers a lot were put side by side when plenty of room. Seems to be a popular fishing spot. Bathrooms were a bit untidy and our campsite bin hadn't been emptied but only minor things, otherwise a nice stop.

What a beautiful spot, and a favourite with friends and family!! We may only live down the road but we come here regularly. The food is always generous in proportions, the staff friendly and helpful and the views amazing with facilities for camping. They also have cabins and are pet friendly... well worth the stop and stay!!

Read about Clairview in a Caravan Mag and thought, "That'll do me..!!! " When we drove up from South of Brisbane on Dec 27th, we were expecting the Park to be full.....Not so....We managed to get a Beachfront, Powered site for our Caravan, for 2 nights, the moment we rang up. Julie & Russell were very helpful, as were all...

Awesome spot right on the beach with fantastic views and lovely poinsettia trees. Clean amenities, friendly staff and great food in the ocean front bistro. Only set-back was the march-flies. Pet friendly too which is a bonus.

Our little family of 4 needed a place to lay our heads for the night on a long road trip and we found a great little place here. The family cabin was lovely and clean, the beers at the bar were icy cold and the owners were super friendly. At the end of a long day we relaxed staring out...

We got a great shady powered site (no.4) and had a lovely view of the beach. Kids loved the playground right next to us. Nice ocean breeze all night. One of the cheapest powered sites we've had. Definitely recommend.

Clairview Caravan Park is under new management and has been rebranded as "BarraCrab Caravan Park Clairview". The reason behind the name of the Park is because Clairview is renowned for fishing and in particular for catching Barramundi and Crabs. The Park is undergoing general upgrades to both the facilities and the style of accommodation with new beach front cabins in the planning process.Clairview is one of a couple of places on the East Coast of Queensland where the highway almost touches the beach. So if you want a stop over on your way up or down the coast or if you want to come and catch some of the best fish in all of Queensland, call in and say hi to the friendly staff and stay a few days. ... more   less
