Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Have had a lovely time here at Gwithian Farm. Staff are very laid back, there are not many signs saying "don't do this" or "don't do that". Shop offers good range of supplies. Plenty of mobile food outlets visit each week, fish & chips, pizza, paella and patisserie open every morning. Public showers and facilities are OK, perfectly clean and tidy. WiFi is free but its not that reliable. The grounds and pitches are well maintained. The site is within easy reach of the coast and nearby towns like Hayle and St. Ives. Good bus service to St Ives. This is our second visit to this site and we will be back again.

We have just had 2 weeks at this lovely campsite. Great sized pitches with fresh water taps dotted around. Plenty of room for car, caravan and awning as well as a degree of privacy. The staff here are so helpful. We had issues with both car and gas supply whilst staying here and staff could not have been more helpful in pointing us in the right direction. There is a different takeaway van than come each night as well as a coffee / pastry place each morning. There are plenty of places to eat locally and the beaches are simply the best. We are already planning our return for next year.

What a wonderful campsite. Situated in a tiny village, with a restaurant and church. It’s a very well kept campsite with palm trees, and long pampas grass. Giving seclusion for the hard standing sites . Grass pitches are more close together and some on a slight slope . Most days there is catering if you didn’t want to cook. The reception is always open with friendly staff. There are ducks that walk freely around and two goats that are very unusual. All the facilities are spotless, and a lovely touch is the family bathroom for the younger children if they wanted a bath. Everybody there was very respectful, quiet and all dogs are on leads . It has a lovely relaxed friendly atmosphere. The beaches are in walking distance, although I think it would probably take about 15 to 20 minutes to walk there. Loads of wonderful places to visit nearby, including Saint Ives and Hayle beach . I’d highly recommend this Campsite, I couldn’t fault it at all, and I would certainly go back.

Superb campsite, we stayed for 15 nights and had a fab time. 10 min walk to the beach and the facilities on site are excellent. Different food truck every night, coffee van every day until 12. Showers and loos spotless and all the staff are helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Pitches are spacious and very well kept with hedging between most. Highly recommend Gwithian Farm, we could have stayed for much longer.

Lovely campsite 15/20 mins walk to beach through farmers lanes and then sand dunes ( we would defo take a trolley next time although dog beach access is down uneven concrete stairs) beach toilets and 2 cafes nearby to grab cold drinks and snacks/food. We had a gravel hard standing pitch located near to toilets/showers and also play area for kids. Showers are press button but nice and hot there were queues at peak periods but only to be expected. Campsite shop was not the best and as there is nothing else walking distance we felt this did let the site down. Also no bins around site including any dog bins which was rather annoying the only bins are located behind reception. Open top bus service to st Ives was brilliant and we did enjoy are day there. Yes there is very little WiFi or signal (couldn’t even play the radio) so keep this is mind and do your area research / downloads etc behore you come) !! Food vans most nights (some only take cash) even an ice cream van came a few nights which was great !! Red River Inn pub just across road does good food and dog/kid friendly. All in all we had an amazing holiday and the beach was like being abroad !! Miles of golden sand with a tidal rock pool the kids spent hours jumping in to. We will definitely be back.

Prior to arriving we were lumbered with an additional cost as we required 2 vehicles to support our family in the trip ! Personally I didn’t feel we needed to purchase an additional plot to park the extra car as the space we had was plenty! Great way I guess to make additional money from large families! Having accepted this we arrived to what appears to be an awesome campsite with all the amenities you would expect from decent site near to the beach! My only concern throughout the entire stay was the shocking Wi-Fi we had to endure.! It became evident that other people were also suffering as it seemed the only place to get a connection of sorts was near the reception area on entering the camp! We became somewhat dependant on a decent connection during the week we visited as the weather was absolutely shocking making it difficult to get out and about! So apart from it being obvious that the site capitalises on 2 car families and have terrible Wi-Fi everything else was on point! Will I stay again !! Hmmmmm not sure really, probably not !

Excellent campsite, really helpful reception on arrival. The individual camping pitches are first class, and the overall site facilities are as good as you can expect on a campsite. I extended my stay here twice as it was that good. A bonus is that each day there was a different take away food van on site in the evening to give you an alternative to cooking for the local pub for food. Location is perfect for either walking to Three Mile Beach or catching the local bus to St Ives from the site entrance.

What an awesome place! The campsite itself is large with great size pitches. The facilities are incredible, they've thought of everything. Lovely shop selling the essentials at very reasonable prices. The variety of food wagons every evening is exceptional, from fish and chips, pizza to paella and Persian Street food!! The hungry horse box every morning is great for delicious coffee and bakes. Fab pub and bus stop just outside of the site and of course the most amazing beach a 10 minute walk through the dunes! Staff were all delightful, particularly the grounds team! Well done all, a top site and can't wait to return!

We have been here before and have just spent two weeks camping here and thoroughly enjoyed it again. It appeals because it is only a half mile walk from the top of the campsite, via a footpath around a field and across dunes, to the beach which only takes ten minutes. There are other routes to the beach that take a little longer. There are a couple of pleasant cafe's near the beach and also surf schools etc. A little more walking along the beach in either direction and you'll find other cafe's, an ice cream van etc. tucked away. It's a long, attractive beach that isn't spoilt by commercial activity. Being in a tent we were on grass pitch with electric hook up that had a slight slope but we always take a few bits to level up the cooking stand etc. The caravan pitches were very popular given they are level, gravelled areas surrounded by grass and planting. The site is well laid out with well maintained facilities and now it has a great little shop for the essentials (big tent pegs in our case as it was very windy for a day or two!) Visiting food vendors meant there was a selection of different style meals available on various days. The site is run by a friendly family along with helpful staff. Got to mention Jamie here as he says he never gets mentioned in reviews! We had to have a delivery to site that he assisted with so thanks Jamie! There is a pleasant pub opposite the site and now with a regular bus service to St. Ives we were able to visit the town and not be bothered by parking etc. If you are looking for a campsite with a club room, pool, amusements, bar, music etc. then this isn't the place for you. This is an attractive well laid out site with the essentials and a warm welcome.......and two goats!

Went here in a camper van. Nice site. Our pitch was massive but needed levelling ramps as on a slope. Wifi on our pitch was very good but we were near reception. Only real complaint was showers. Nice and clean but both male and female were always freezing. Usually use Caravan And Motorhome Club sites but this site was just as good and £10 per night cheaper. I would return.
