We had a very unsatisfactory experience at Windom House. If you have allergies to cigarette smoke be warned, the hosts are heavy smokers and the whole house and everything in it smells very strongly of cigarettes. The room was overpriced with worn furnishings and the bathroom was outside the room. Breakfast was light and when host came in and out...

Husband and I stayed here after finding all hotels and other B&Bs were rented out for the weekend. It was okay. Reminded me of staying with a great aunt who's smoked for 30 years and has trouble throwing anything out. The house itself is impressive, albeit cluttered with lots of decor. Even our room was overly done-up. Our room and...

The house is lovely but the host is very aggressive. Every sentence she said to me sounds like a command. She doesn't like international guest. But It is not my fault that you dislike me. I try to be nice with you but why are you so harsh to me?I cannot recommend this place unless you do not talk with...

The place is really nice with comfortable atmosphere. I didn't smell any sense of smoke. The dogs are cute. But the host makes me very uncomfortable. She is aggressive and bossy. Every sentence she said sounds like a command to guest. It is not my problem that you don't like me. If you just want to stay here for one...

Though this is an historic house in a lovely neighborhood, it is permeated by a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke throughout. It is worst on the first floor where the dining room is located, causing us to skip breakfast the next morning and leave early, but reaches even to the third floor where our room was located. We also...

I have stayed numerous times at this gracious, beautiful, historic home. The inn keepers, Karen and Craig, have become like family! I have stayed in different rooms, all of which are very comfortable and Karen always prepares a gourmet breakfast. Wine is served in the evening. The Windom Park is close to everything and very easy to find. My new...

The Groths have restored and maintained this historic venue in amazing fashion. Their hospitality, concern, and support for their guests is exemplary. Our ancestors built this home and we are confident they would be gratified to know what good hands and wonderful people care for the house and its future. Close to parks and historic sights, quite, comfortable and inviting....

My stay at the property was very nice. Everyone was friendly and the room was comfortable. The house is fun to explore. I did not smell smoke and I had no problems with any dogs. Breakfast was great both mornings and I would stay here again.

In the beautiful town of Winona where culture and history play a huge part of the town, there is no better place to stay than this historic bed and breakfast. The main house is over 100 years old and there is something new to discover wherever you look, and the guest house where my fiancee and I stayed is so...

Simply put, my experience, though just one day, was exceptional. I loved the welcoming atmosphere, accommodations, and the little things that tied the experience together in a personalized yet intimate way. The proximity of the home is perfect as you are minutes away from local resultants, attractions, or if you simply want to enjoy the neighborhood. I would sincerely recommend...

“We stayed in Jamie's Suite. It was our favorite and we loved all the space and having our room "living room" and private bathroom. There are six rooms in the Bed and Breakfast and they all looked interesting and would be fun to stay in.”
