We were vacationing in Clarksdale to check out a place we had heard about for a long time in the heart of the Delta Blues scene. We were not disappointed. The Clark House is centrally located but in a residential neighborhood. It was quiet but easy walking distance to the center of town. The room was large and comfortable. There...

A two night stay extended to four, luckily for us.......and it was bliss. We have never stayed in such a lovely place. The house has an atmosphere of calm and serenity, we felt privileged to spend time here. We were sent friendly emails by the innkeeper,Billy, prior to our arrival, making us feel very welcome. We stayed in the Magnolia room in the back cottage and it was perfect for us. Nicely appointed, comfortable, and situated for maximum privacy. We met Billy, the Innkeeper, and were made to feel like family. He and his wife enjoy the Clarksdale music scene and we enjoyed running into them around town. Highly recommended as an alternative to chain...

Passing through Clarksdale and stayed one night at the Clark House. Located on a quiet street and within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Had a room on the ground floor. Continental breakfast was adequate for us before we hit the road on our way to New Orleans. Quiet and clean. Yes, we would stay again.

My wife and I, her sister and brother in law and our friends from England met in Memphis to do a blues tour of the Mississippi delta. After touring Stax and Sun museums and hitting Beale St. we headed south to Clarksdale and the Mississippi delta. We had decided to make the Clark House our base for three nights. We...

During a sidetrip through blues country on the way from Chicago to New Orleans, spent one night at the Clark House in Clarkdale. What was supposed to be only a place to rest for the night while visiting a local blues joint became one of our trip highlights! This grand, old home is beautiful, well kept, managed by a mostly...

Seven of my friends and I tromped off to Mississippi for a two-day girls trip. Staying at the Clark House was worth the whole experience. Billy, our host, was the consummate southern gentlemen-- telling us all the fun things to do in Clarksdale and all the fabulous history.... And then sensitively leaving us alone so the 8 of us could...

I organized a trip to Clarksdale for 8 world travelers who are used to the best. I'd seen the Clark House and thought it would be a great spot. It lived up to all my hopes. The rooms, along with the downstairs meeting rooms were fabulous. The manager, Billy Howell, provides the best of hospitality; he knows the fine balance...
