Dear Col. Hylander, I am sure that my greatgrandparents, Robert G. and Mary L. Oakman, owned Rosewood in the 1880's until the start of the 1900's. It was called Mount Pleasant Plantation. We know that the house was hit by a tornado about 1908. The website mentions that you have lots of history. I would like to hear what facts you have to compare to what my family knows. Thanks, Robert L. Oakman III Columbia, SC

I would suggest calling Rosswood directly. The owners are lovely people and can answer your question better than I can. They are a wealth of information.
