A group of girlfriends recently chose The Roost Boutique Hotel in Ocean Springs for our getaway slumber party. As school friends, we’ve been doing an annual slumber party for 50+ years so celebrating our 70th birthdays together needed a special venue. The Roost did not disappoint! The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The Wilbur Bar saw to it that our champagne was cold and ready for our toast along with the small bite plates which we enjoyed in the breezeway upstairs. The food was delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed our lunch the following day at Eat Drink Love. Highly recommend. There was even a vegetarian selection! The hotel staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed and right at home!

You "girls" were a pleasure to host for such a special occasion, enjoying our Roost amenities with champagne in the Wilbur and tasty appetizers as well as the delicious lunch cuisine from the cafe, Eat Drink Love. And of course you gals enjoying your selected mode of transportation, The Golf Cart! Ocean Springs is still buzzing about you!! Thank you again for choosing our boutique hotel, The Roost, and we look forward to accommodating your travel needs on your next visit to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. My very best to you. David

The Roost is absolutely amazing and the property is gorgeous. The advertised photos on the website match what you see in person. We stayed there with our doggie for the first time in late February and can't wait to return and stay for a longer time. As soon as we walked into the front lobby, David welcomed us and our dog with the greatest personality which made me feel immediately at ease (being our first trip with our doggie.) We met the manager, Adrian, who provided excellent customer service and was very accommodating. The suites are beautiful and extremely comfortable with lots of sunlight and a full kitchen which we are excited to make more use of the next time we stay. And we love the convenience of having the restaurant and bar on the same property along with a lovely park in the back of the building. The cafe downstairs sells meats and ingredients which you can simply take upstairs and cook in your own kitchen. The Roost sits in a nice, quiet residential area. We walked our dog just around the corner a few blocks down to the beaches, and location is convenient to food, shops, and downtown Ocean Springs, MS. I hope The Roost is here to stay a very long time cause we are very excited to return and stay again!!

An amazing review of our beautiful boutique hotel, The Roost. From your first impression with the puppy dog, our unique suites, Eat Drink Love with its diversified lunch menu, our "speakeasy" lounge, The Wilbur, with incredible cocktails and tasty cuisine, our guests are certainly pampered! We are so fortunate to enjoy the perfect location in trendy Ocean Springs with a variety of restaurants, taverns, shopping and museums, all within walking distance from The Roost. And of course, our pristine Gulf beach also a short walk from our property. We look forward to your next visit to The Roost! David

Had a wonderful stay at The Roost. It's such a special place with so much more than just a great room. The outdoor space is really well done with tables and chairs dotted throughout. There is a lovely sitting area next to an outdoor fireplace, and an exceptionally beautiful pool surrounded with comfy
loungers. At night the lighted pool and string lights in the courtyard areas create quite an inviting vibe. There is live music outside on Thursday evenings. We enjoyed the music as we ate Royal Reds from Knuckleheads just down the street (which was recommended by a staff member) on the private balcony of our 2nd floor suite. There is ample parking on the property including several reserved spots for overnight guests. The Wilbur Bar is very unique and takes its decorative inspiration from speakeasies of the prohibition era. Just a great vibe! The drinks were very good. They also offer food items. The suite itself is charming with a huge king bed and a nice size bath. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The sitting area itself is small but the chairs are roomy and comfortable. There is a recessed counter top in the bedroom with a coffee maker and electric tea pot for heating water. Coffee and all the fixings are provided. The glass coffee cups, wine glasses and corkscrew are nice touches. Under the counter is a good sized fridge and a microwave. We even found two rolls of paper towels under there which I appreciated having. The air conditioning is quiet and keeps the suite cool, something that is a must for my husband. The bathroom is sizable. The roomy shower has two shower heads, one that can be hand-held. Perhaps the best asset offered is the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Everyone we met stopped to talk with us, making suggestions of places to go and things to do in the quaint town of Ocean Springs. We were well satisfied on every level except for the TV channel selection. It is a streaming service we're not familiar with and could not find most of the channels we are used to. That was minor though as we did not go there to watch a lot of TV. Overall. a wonderful property! Every suite at The Roost is unique, making for a different experience with each
stay.

We loved this place! We tried the Lovebird Suite and the Shearwater Suite and both were incredible. The Roost is perfectly wedged between the downtown strip and the beach - it was absolutely perfection. We plan to come back and stay for longer because it was just so great.

The Lovebird Suite had a great soaking tub, dualing shower heads and it was on a very quiet piece of the property.

The Shearwater suite had a great kitchen, living room and honestly it was just a really nice set up.

We stayed in the Sawgrass Suite and it was perfect for our group of two adults and one child. The staff was welcoming and friendly and whatever we needed, they were right on it -- yet unobtrusive. It was like we just happened to live there for a few days. Having no key, just a preprogrammed keypad with the code of our own choosing, made it especially easy to come and go. The bartender is amazing and the grilled salmon BLT with aioli in the bar is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Between this and breakfast every morning at The Greenhouse on Porter, we had a perfect visit. This was my third visit to Ocean Springs and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in future.

The spacious Sawgrass suite with 2 queen beds, kitchenette is the perfect accommodation for a family's traveling needs. You guys certainly took advantage of our strategic location in Ocean Springs within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, taverns, museums and shopping. Our beautiful Gulf beach is 2 blocks walking distance as well. Eat Drink Love providing a tasty lunch menu and our lounge, The Wilbur, is tops for a savory dinner and cocktails, all under the same roof. Thank you again for your kind words concerning The Roost. Stay healthy. David

This boutique hotel has all the charm and character you could ever dream of in a hotel. With 11 one of a kind suites, you’re sure to find the perfect room for you. Every room comes with complimentary WiFi, a flat screen TV, lush bedding, locally roasted coffee, and organic bath amenities from Gilchrist & Sommes. We can’t say enough how highly we recommend staying at The Roost! We stayed in The Oyster Suite and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! And the onsite bar, The Wilbur is a must visit while staying at The Roost. The cocktails are delicious, the beer is local brewed, and the bartenders are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a cozy place to call home while visiting Ocean Springs or Biloxi, The Roost is the perfect place!

We arrived on a Friday and were able to get into the room by three. Front desk staff was not too outgoing. Pool is nice and The Wilbur Bar opened at 3pm and began playing music which gave the pool area a cool vibe. The grounds and overall rooms are pretty good. For the price you pay you would think you would have high end amenities such as robes, slippers, etc. The volume on the TV didn't work and you could hear everything. The kids upstairs were grumpy and running VERY early in the morning stomping the floor. Not the kind of thing you want on an adult weekend get away. Saturday we got out to the pool at about 11 am with several other guests. We were told no music until 3pm when the bar opened. We literally asked six times after 3 to have the music on then when it finally came on very little volume compared to Friday.

The Wilbur and the bartenders were probably the best part. The Ol Fashion was one of the best I have had. The kitchen is closed they have no one running it but they did have appetizer type snacks. They had live music with two guys playing accoustic which was good. It was an ok stay but nothing other than the bar to make me go back.

This property has a wonderful location- two blocks walk to the beach & about 3 block walk to downtown restaurants & shopping.

The grounds are beautifully maintained& the pool area is lovely with quiet music & chase lounges.

We stayed in the Monarch Suite which was downstairs & faced both the parking lot & Porter Street which has some traffic. Porter street was not a problem as there was a door between living room & bedroom which could be closed blocking street noise.

We did hear parking lot noise & noise from the suite above us kept us awake 2 nights. The person working the front desk did acknowledge the walls were paper thin. We were in the older building. Maybe the other side is better insulated.

The staff were helpful, took us in golf cart downtown & guided us to the grocery store and carried our luggage to our room upon arrival.

Note / among the amenities listed was a restaurant. There are none on the property/ closest about 3 blocks away

We love this place. We stayed here for New Year's Eve. We travel with our dog, we love the rooms that are on the back of the property that open to the fenced in grassy area. Great area to exercise our dogs. Very close walk to downtown and beach. Such a great location and property. We will stay here every chance we get. Free parking and wifi. They do have a pet fee, but nominal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Magnolia suite. This is a beautiful room with a large shared balcony facing Porter Avenue. It has a huge marble shower and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! We loved our experience at The Roost and look forward to going back. The style is Southern coastal glam and the grounds are meticulously kept. It was romantic and charming and surprisingly quiet and peaceful, despite staying there on Memorial Day weekend. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You're only two blocks from the beach... an easy walk. The Wilbur Bar (on-site) makes great cocktails and does have a few snack options in the evenings. The only improvement I would suggest is a few food offerings for breakfast and lunch, which I am told they are working on.
