Location and setting is great, refurbishment is superb and although not having experienced the accommodation I am led to believe by people who have stayed at the Badger that the rooms are very good.....that said when we went for lunch recently the greeting was non-existent, the service was all over the place with no structure to the FOH service and...

The Badger is in a beautiful setting in Cheshire. The food was excellent and the service was good. We sat in the extension area which has plenty of glass to enjoy the setting. The restaurant was warm and cosy. Highly recommended.

Best meal i've had in very long time. It took me a while to decide what I wanted to eat, because everything on the menu looked delicious. Main course was perfect, dessert was also perfect. I live in Germany, otherwise I would surely come here often.

The Badger is a nice, small hotel with an excellent restaurant. Rooms are in very good shape, very clean. Restaurant is excellent. Staff is allways friendly, helpful, attentive. I stayed there several times, it is almost like coming home!

Overall a satisfactory stay with comfortable rooms well furnished. Couldn't fault the evening meal which was excellent and reasonably priced. However there were a few negatives. Breakfast was a disappointment compared to dinner, with cold plates and food. We were in a room at the rear of the inn which I believe was named Oddies. TV signal was really weak...

We regularly visit this area to visit our daughter and have tried quite a few places to stay. So far this has been the best value for money and fabulous food. Our room was very clean and comfortable but the bathroom was a bit tight as we are not the smallest of people!. Best of all was the atmosphere, the...

Visited with friend with Coeliacs Disease. She was impressed with the amount of choices on the menu that were gluten free and we both enjoyed our meals. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pleasant surroundings and would definitely return.

Did not stay overnight, just a Bank Holiday lunch for six. Poor start to the meal, with slow service, waited 15 mins for drinks, but, after that the drinks, the food were excellent and the service picked up as more staff came on. We tried all four beers on tap, excellent. The ladies had two different wines both declared excellent....

I stayed here on a business trip, and very happy I did! Rooms furnished to a high standard and good size, delightfully comfortable bed! Lovely cosy traditional bar area, high quality food / wine / beer with service to match, fantastic breakfast, free parking and all for £59 B&B. Ive stayed in places twice this price and not so good......

“Room called : The Spinner - reasonable quality but could be improved by adding a razor point, a shelf in the bathroom for personal items and lastly we found the drawers rather small for laying out folded clothes. Good shower.”
