From the moment we arrived at Carlton Corner we felt both completely at home but also like we were going to be treated like royalty, which indeed was the case!

Jay greeted us with the warmest of welcomes, apologising immediately for the fact that she couldn’t shake our hands or help us with luggage etc because of the current precautions we are all subject to, but none of that made any difference – the measures she and Dave had taken to keep guests safe in no way got in the way of us feeling completely relaxed and like we were on a truly luxury break away.

We had booked the beautiful Garden Room with its own patio overlooking the gorgeous English countryside, where we enjoyed breakfast both mornings and a takeaway dinner too on our second night! The room was beautifully appointed, with the most sleep-inducing bedding and mattress that made it quite hard to get up in the mornings, and a fabulous modern bathroom with high end toiletries and extra fluffy giant white towels. Breakfast was a choice of everything from Full English (including a vegetarian option) to Continental and everything in between (including pancakes!), along with toast and fresh tea or coffee and juice. And again, despite the somewhat unique circumstances currently, the service was first class and nothing was too much trouble.

The house is situated in the heart of Kibworth Harcourt and is a less than 5 minute walk to the Award Winning Boboli Restaurant, as well as a couple of pubs, and then there are also the many lovely boutiques and shops in the village of Kibworth Beauchamp a short car ride away. It’s the perfect spot to base yourself to explore the local area or simply to chill for a few nights.

Overall Carlton Corner feels like a true passion project, and it’s a place we will be returning to many times I am sure. In fact I have already booked our next stay in September!!

Who needs Spain and Portugal when you have places like this in your own “backyard”?!

Modern and spotless room, comfortable bed, convenient outside door with direct access to the parking area, fantastic warm and accommodating hosts (Jay and Dave) who took care to ask about dietary requirements and ensure they were met. Jay's recommendation for an ideal dinner venue in nearby Market Harborough was also spot-on. I would definitely return – this is one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had.

Dave and Jay were very friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely property, clean and nicely presented. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable, there were robes and slippers in the wardrobe which is always useful and the room had sliding doors to the back garden and we had our own patio area with table and chairs. It was in a lovely position with a field at the bottom of the garden, very quiet. The breakfast was freshly cooked and there were several options to choose from. There is off-road parking. The local pub was within walking distance also an Italian restaurant called Boboli both of which we used. Nearby is Foxton Locks which is well worth a visit.

Carlton Corner is a lovely place to stay. We were made so welcome, and the house is stylish and comfortable. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with a beautiful bathroom and the most luxurious towels! Robes and slippers are provided, and delicious homemade biscuits with the teas and coffee.
Breakfast was excellent, with exceptional waiter service (thank you, Sammy). The house is on the edge of lovely countryside, and overlooks the fields...a pleasure to wake up to. We would recommend this place to everyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, friendly and attractive home-from-home.

Hospitable, friendly & warm describe perfectly the feeling we had about the owners & their bed & breakfast. Their beautiful English home, with an inviting & modern bedroom & en-suite bathroom, was nicely decorated & furnished. We had a great view onto grassy green fields with grazing sheep. We had excellent breakfast choices every morning with a delicious cup of coffee, as well as good conversations with our hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in this quaint English village & would strongly recommend it to anyone!!

We stayed overnight after a wedding in the area, and it was a great choice.
Lovely rooms, so clean and well thought out. Very good in room facilities, and nothing missing that we could have wanted.
Jay and Dave were so helpful, letting us drop bags off early and advising on local taxi companies.
Extremely good breakfast the next morning, with plenty of choice.

We stayed here for one night and wish it could have been more. Jay was very welcoming and there was cake in our room to go with the tea (unfortunately we'd just been fed too much cake by my elderly aunt, so didn't eat it).

The room was lovely - beautifully decorated with hints of copper. The bathroom was small but perfect with a luxury hotel feel. My only criticism is that being a bit short, I struggled to reach the shelf in the bathroom!

Breakfast was delicious - I had the waffles with banana and my husband had the daily special smashed avocado on toast. The young couple also eating had the full English, which looked great. The coffee was very good (I'd had terrible coffee all week so it was like nectar to me!!) and there was a lovely view of the sheep in the next field from the breakfast room.

We have family in Oadby and in Market Harborough and will definitely stay here again if we can.

We ate at the Coach & Horses in the evening, which is walking distance and does nice food. The dining room there is small so best to book.

The hosts (Jay and David) were fantastic and teh rooms are perfect. We will definitely be staying again.
Due to the Pandemic we were the only guest on the night in question so did not need to wear face mask; however, all sanitising was available.
if you are in doubt of how good this B&B is do not be, it is fantastic,

Another few days down in Leicester staying at Carlton Corner Bed and Breakfast.
I must say what excellent hostes great rooms cleaned every day and spotless. Must admit the home made biscuits are really great and to have fresh milk for your tea and coffee bonus! (not to have UHT 🤢.)
Breakfast is all locally sourced products and really good quality.
I'd come here just for a weekend break with some good walks. A must see is the Foxton Locks only 10 minutes drive away, which I manage to film with my drone. Hope work sends me here again. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
