Great service, from the amazing Tracey, beautifully clean room and bathroom, cracking breakfast. Every member of staff we came into contact with was lovely and it was a pleasure to stay here. Bed and pillows very comfy !

Poor stay in an IHG Hotel!!! Do not book!!! Rooms were very dirty, needs renovating , walls have stains of coffee and men’s semen!!! Checked in to a room which had dirty stains on the pillow and duvet and dirt in the bathrooms , as per pictures.. I was then moved to another room which had long blonde women hair over chairs and bed. In the evening I spoke to a manager named Rafael, who said he will go and have a look at the room, he said that the hotel did not meet the requirements and that will compensate me to my IHG account with 30 000 which was never done. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

sebastiancS1984QB Thank you for your feedback We are sorry for your negative experience that you encountered in the first room you were assigned, occasionally things are missed, this is not the usual standard at our hotel, we pride ourselves on our cleanliness and for this I can only apologise for the distress this has caused you during your stay, we would also like to reassure you the room was checked by a black light and can categorically say that there was not any "Men's Semen" on the walls as you so eloquently described!! Our Accommodation Manager has been made aware and is investigating the individual that cleaned the room and the supervisor that checked this. Any findings will be dealt with subject to our internal disciplinary policy. Our Duty Manager on shift that evening quickly gave you a different room with an apology and the promise of 1000 points towards your IHG One Rewards Membership, which were deposited into your account on the 12th October, 30,000 points is an unrealistic amount of points and would never be offered!! This review has been deemed spurious and reported to Tripadvisor for expunction

I recently stayed at Holiday Inn Express as I had a work meeting the next day and the hotel couldn’t be faulted. Check-In was quick and easy, they took a £100 damage deposit which was refunded on check out which although was slightly unusual was no problem. The room itself was spacious with plenty of power sockets, a desk, TV and complimentary tea and coffee. Throughout the hotel as well they offered free WiFi and had two separate access points both of which were fast enough for surfing and streaming (Around 35mbps). The bed itself was very comfortable and rooms had air conditioning and heating if required although I just worked with opening the window to cool the room down. Now the free complimentary breakfast that everyone gets was really tasty with sausages, hash browns, bacon, scrambled eggs and all the continental options. There was also a coffee machine and casks of filter coffee if you preferred. There was takeaway cups available and a wide range of teas too. There was a bar in the lobby area which was comfortable to sit at and had TVs which had the news on too. Location wise its about 20 minutes from Warrington Station and is located in Leigh Sports village. I will stay here again as it is up to standard of a Premier Inn for sure if not slightly better …

Rooms are decent and clean. Avoid the restaurant though. £15 for a Chicago town pizza??? Available at the supermarket near to hotel 3 for £9. Many of our group have become ill from various menu items including the pizzas, chicken wings and macaroni. When informing the manageress it was very clear there was no interest in the claims and certainly no apology. Many menu items not available. Be wary of the frozen seafood as it smells very off. I do stress though that the rooms are fine and staff very pleasant. Just don't try to inform management of any issues as you'll be disappointed even further.

From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, without exception all the staff we came into contact with were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. A sign of good in-house training programmes. The hotel was clean and welcoming as was our room. Excellent shower and room fixtures and fittings were all in good working order. We ate in the restaurant in the evening simply for convenience sake and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our meal. Everything is cooked to order so order a drink when you place your order in case there are several people in front of you awaiting their orders. The beds are comfy and sleeping with the window open stopped any stuffiness during these unusually hot nights. There was little noise from the surrounding area as most things closed down at night. Wi-Fi worked well. We used this location as a place to base ourselves to visit RHS Bridgewater over two days, having driven up from Staffordshire. Will return again in a different gardening season.…

What you see is what you get here but it is well located with a supermarket on site and a shopping center opposite. It gets full on match days and when we stayed that did cause a problem for some people with banging doors in the early hours . The rooms are standard but thats what you expect ours had a good walk in shower. The breakfast is a bit cheap and cheerful. We did have an evening meal here and actually it was much better than we expected.

Great stay. As name would suggest hotel is located in sports park, a very short walk from Leigh Rugby League stadium. There is Marsden's Pub/restaurant and Morrisons supermarket short walk away. The hotel has tons of free parking. Room very clean and comfortable and had really good shower. Breakfast menu was slightly limited but perfectly adequate and tasty. Would definately stay here again of in the area.

Check-in and out was quick and efficient. Parking ok. Nice clean room however it was a bath-no walk in shower. Slept peacefully and well in clean bedding. Breakfast had fair choice of continental but cooked English was poor. Sausages cheap, bacon only done on one side and quite fatty, baked beans- no tomato on an English breakfast?! and....the worse thing..sloppy tasteless scrambled eggs. We didn't expect a poached egg but a fried one would have been good.

Our hotel offers walk in showers in all of our twin the rooms, our double rooms and double rooms with sofa beds have a mixture of baths with showers over them or walk in showers, if you request your preferred type of shower, prior to your arrival we will do our utmost best to uphold that request subject to availability. Our Express Start Breakfast is an offering of some continental items with the addition of 4 hot items, bacon, sausage (vegetarian on request), scrambled eggs and beans, this is a Brand Standard set by our Brand Owners and is the same across all of the Express properties and is included in your room rate. We booked online, we had tickets to see Pink at Bolton and this hotel was the closest available, as everywhere closer was full. On arrival we were warmly made to feel welcome and our room was available even though we were early. Our twin bedroom was roomy, spacious and very clean. The bathroom with walk in shower was lovely, plenty of towels and toiletries. Tea and coffee available - everything to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was good - cereals, pastries, juice as well as hot options. Takeaway was also available if you wanted to just grab and go. My daughter and I found the hotel, staff and breakfast all above standard and would definitely return.
