We stayed for (2) days the end of October. The temperatures were warmer than expected so we did not have any fires (inside or outside). We did enjoy the views, peaceful surroundings, and the changing colors of the trees. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The Blue Rose continues to be taken well cared for and the cleanliness is...

They stayed open for us even though they were closing in 5 minutes. Also asked the shop keeps to stay open at the antique and flea markets down the lane. Beautiful facility with an even more beautiful story. This entire village was created in 1996 to house, educate and employee individuals with special needs. Absolutely beautiful! The food was delicious...

This was our 4th stay here (for (2) nights. We enjoyed it as much as the previous stays. There was five of us and we stayed in 2 rooms ( Southern Exposure and Magnolia). The Blue Rose is very comfortable and the views are so pretty that I have to keep saying to myself: " Am I really here." We...

This is a bed and breakfast 5 miles from the nearest small town. This is a great place to relax and do absolutely nothing. Breakfast is really good and the servers are awesome! Very friendly and will converse as much as you would like including sitting down at your table. Really neat folk. Noon meals are only served Wednesday through...

We met up with friends from the Saint Louis area to stay here (our third time). The Blue Rose is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The view of the river valley is very pretty with the barges and trains below. It is fun to watch their activity carrying their cargo back and forth. It is also fun...

What a hidden gem! This was my second visit to the Village and the food was just as good as the first time we were there. But this time we stayed for the weekend as guests in the B&B. The accommodations were great. Very clean and welcoming. We felt right at home. Dinner both nights was excellent. The prime rib...

Make the effort to find this very special place where developmentally challenged individuals live and work together under loving supervised care and provide a good meal in a spectacularly located spot high on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. It is worth the time for a truly enjoyable experience.

My 88-yr-old mother, her 13 yr-old chihuahua, another friend and I visited the Village in July 2015. So often a website paints a glorified picture but this place is exactly as shown. As everyone else has commented, there is a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River, and the residents of the village made the visit extra-special. When we arrived I...

Love this place....good, reasonable food, beautiful setting in the woods, exceptional service and does good for others. Proceeds go to help independent living for adults with disabilities. I have taken many friends there and everyone wants to go back again.

We met friends from the St. Louis area for a weekend get together. We did this a year ago in May and liked our stay so much that we decided to stay again. We loved our stay this time too. There are a total of (4) bedrooms at the lodge. Two of us stayed in "southern exposure" and (3) of...
