We were on our motorcycles and the motel had covered parking for them as well as rags to clean our bikes. The staff was very friendly. The motel has an interesting Route 66 gift shop. There were restaurants within walking distance.

I wanted to get away from St Louis for a bit; and stayed in the Wagon Wheel motel for one (Friday) night. I chose room 23 mainly because of the 'special' shower installed. From what I gather from other reviews; this room is one of the larger rooms in the motel. This historic motel is about 70 years old, but...

Charming old fashion motel which has been renovated and is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it very much. The bed was a double but we are use to that and the room was small but we were not in the room very much. The heating and cooling system was new and efficient.

This hotel is a definite stay on your route 66 trip. The rooms are clean and cozy, very well kept. Connie's gift shop has many cool route 66 collectables. It's nice to see places such as this one, perserved so that we can enjoy them.

I stayed in a solo room here and had some friends stay in a bigger room. This motel was modern and great value for money, it is a little off the beaten track from the main highway, however it is a Route 66 classic. There is a great little store attached to the hotel check in area to purchase some...

Stayed here while travelling Route 66. They have kept the 1940's feel about the rooms they are very clean but a little on the small side. My advice is stay in a suite as the standard rooms have no en-suite. The staff are really lovely and would chat to you all day if you give them the chance. For what...

We are a true historic motel and the rooms are the size for the period in which it was built. Glad you were pleased with it's authenticity. Thanks for taking the time to write a review.

What a wonderful motel, my room whilst cosy was beautifully designed and very, very clean. I was travelling alone but very much enjoyed sitting outside reading my book and having a glass of wine. The owners were clearly proud of their property and rightly so. My one very small issue was that the walls are thin and as a light...

This is a unique place to stay if you're driving Route 66 (which is the only reason I rated it 4 instead of 3), but there are things that can be done to make it more comfortable for guests, while preserving its historic character. When we arrived the air conditioner was off or on low, which contributed to the strong...

We are very sorry for any problems you experienced. We will make sure to have housekeeping keep the refrigerator turned up. There were more towels under the sink in the bathroom and as stated in the room, there are hair dryers available in the office. We hope you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate your business.

Would definitely return to this motel the location is extremely close to restaurants and activities. Love the updated rooms and the owner was very pleasant when we arrived. Also enjoyed the fire-pit and meeting people from all around the country on this historic Route 66 gem.

Rooms are small but adequate, No coffee maker, but you can get coffee in the reception area. Very clean rooms, bed was creaky so didn't hold out much hope that it would be comfy, but we had a wonderful nights sleep! Nice little shop area in reception. We ate at the BBQ place next door, food was good.
