First family holiday.
I visited with my husband and 6 month old son for our first holiday over Easter weekend. We stayed in newly built Donkeys Hollow and the pod was simply beautiful! The owners and staff really do go above and beyond to make your stay special. When we arrived we were welcomed to a Happy Easter banner and some treats. The pod is lovely and clean and comes with everything you need such as pots, pans, utensils etc. All you really need to bring is your own food and in our case baby bottles and steriliser. There's plenty of plugs for chargers and any extras you might need. Towels are provided as are bath robes and slippers for when you get in and out of the hot tub. The kitchen area was lovely and clean and it comes everything you need, even a dishwasher if you don't fancy doing the pots.
We did have a little mishap with the hob but that was us not noticing the right switch to actually turn it on! The owner (my husband spoke to him on the phone) was a lovely chap and more than happy to help us even though he was meant to be on holiday himself! So we do apologise for disturbing you! If you ever need help with anything there's always someone happy to give hand should you need it.
There outdoor seating area was lovely and there's a firepit with wood and fire starting kit provided. You can get more wood from the box if you need to for a small fee but there's a generous amount wood that's given in the box anyway! We even got given marshmallows and prongs to roast over the fire.
The hot tub is great! We couldn't wait to get the baby to sleep at night time so we.could get in! It was lovely and you could turn the bubbles on and off as you like. It's beautiful at night time with all the fairy lights from the pod, light in the tub and the sounds of nature around you as you relax.
There's a little area at the top with a few swings of the kids to play on which we visited a couple of times.
My only suggestions for the future would be for a little bit of path thats smoother for a pram and possibly washing line or maiden in the pod as our son managed to wee in his travel cot and had to improvise with chairs outside to dry off the sheets but we managed and was no problem! I'll bring spares next time!
All in all we had such a special first holiday together and we really didn't want to come home this morning! There's no wonder it's booked up until September but honestly it's worth the wait!

Amazing place with forever a special place in our hearts
If i could give this pace a 10 star review, I would. It was absolutely amazing. From the moment we pulled into our parking spot under our pod (Cuckoo's Corner) we felt immediately at home, and at peace.

I had booked our pod in December for a March stay but with the lockdown in the UK extended, our stay was pushed out to April. I had frequent communication with Justin who was so helpful when we were rebooking and he was absolutely brilliant answering questions. We got our check in instructions by email and the video instructions that come with it are incredibly professional.

The pod had everything, it was so beautiful when we stepped inside and I would genuinely live there if I could. The fairylights which are on a timer so you don't have to worry about them make the whole place magical. We were provided with coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, tea, instant coffee, sugar, biscuits, chocolates and bag of marshmallows for smores. There was also milk in the fridge and salt and pepper already provided. Everything you could want for cooking was also provided including cups, plates, pots and pans, etc. further BBQ tools are also provided.

The fire starter box is also a brilliant idea with instructions on how to build your fire and keep it going, you can buy extra wood and kindling from the box below your pod for an incredibly reasonable £10 per bag which is then taken out of your security deposit so you don't have to worry about paying. The wifi was instant and the bluetooth speakers that you can connect to both inside and outside the pod are an absolute genius idea.

We were also able to rent bokes and cycle around the area which was so so nice (but beware, it is VERY hilly there so those legs will be worked!). Our hot tub was amazing also and i genuinely have so many amazing things to say about this place. We encountered one tiny issue with the cooker and we called Justin who came immediately and sorted it out (the switch had tripped and it was literally a matter of seconds before he fixed it). We also met Gill there and thoroughly enjoying having a lovely chat with her out on our deck.

This place will always be so special to us as we got engaged here, out on the deck and when the owners found out, they were so so kind to us and gave us a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. We had also brought our telescope and when Justin saw this he so kindly asked if we wanted the lights out in the evening and it was no problem.

You can really tell here that the owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and I cannot wait to go back. No question at all whether I would and will return, it's when I can and when it's available! This place is absolutely not to be missed.

Most magical Christmas!
We chose to visit Park Hall Pods whilst visiting friends and family and exploring the local area.

We were immediately impressed by the hosting and organisation even before we arrived!

Park Hall go above and beyond to ensure you have a brilliant stay.. With every little detail you can think of and many that you wouldn't have thought of! To quote the song, there were even marshmallows for toasting! There is milk, salt and pepper, cooking oil (don't worry everything you need is there already!) just bring yourself.

Fire pit, hot tub, an incredibly comfy bed! Prosecco in the fridge... Fairy lights, Christmas decorations and most importantly, dog friendly! There's a towel and a special area where your little four legged family can relax too.

The surrounding area is beautiful. If you need to cook in your pod - you can! There is a hob and oven and toaster, perfect for a nice breakfast and a long country walk.
If cooking isn't your thing, there's many places to eat around in the local area for dinner (we recommend the rose and crown in horsely!) there's a fridge for your milk (included) for your morning coffee that there's a nespresso machine for that too)

Crucially, during these challenging times, Everything we found was spotlessly clean. and we felt very safe. Each pod is afforded its own sense of privacy and you can easily get lost in your own little world.

My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! and will definitely be staying again! Thank you so much ❤️ you made our visit magical xx

Great stay will be coming back
We had a fantastic time here at Park Hall Pods, Very clean and spacious would recommend coming here also we used the bike hire for a few trips to local pub (The old Black Horse) which was a 10 minute bike ride and served great food I would recommend the gammon steak and chips.
Also booking the pods was so easy and the response from my messages to them was so quick on replying.
Would be definitely coming back later this year!! 10 out of 10

If your thinking of booking this - do it!
If your unsure wether to book these Pods or not I highly recommend!
I came and celebrated my 28th birthday at Donkey Hollow with my partner. We had a phone call on the morning to tell us our pod had a problem with the shower but they were fixing it and refused to cancel us. This communication was second to non and we was updated throughout the day with phone calls. We ended up checking in half a hour after we should of. We are very grateful for the effort to get us into our pod.
The pod is extremely clean - I couldn’t fault it. It was so cosy and warm with plenty of room. Plenty of equipment and utensils. The hot tub was the best hot tub I’ve been in and the views were breathtaking. The fire pit was perfect and was the perfect end to the day. The pod even came with a speaker which was brilliant we had it on the whole two days.
It’s in a great location and we got groceries before we arrived and ordered a beautiful Chinese from New Taste on Uber eats the first night. The next day we went to a pub called Newgate and the food was outstanding. We sat outside to eat because the weather was gorgeous. We even visited Derby before we arrived at the pod which had great shops and food places - you can really make a trip of it!
Overall we would definitely book to return. We’ve told all our friends and family and we had the most relaxing time away from work. Thankyou Park Hall Pods.

Amazing pods
We have just got back from staying in Donkey Hollows pod for our daughters 9th Birthday and what an amazing stay we had!!

Plenty of room for a family of 4. We had 2 adults a 2yr old and a 9yr old.
We loved the security of our little patio area which is fenced and gated off so we knew we didn’t have to worry too much about the youngest escaping.
Hot tub was also a lovely added extra along with fire pit which unfortunately we didn’t get to use this time as we had so much planned.

Pods are amazingly clean and very luxurious for a glamping pod.
We have stayed in plenty but this by far has been the best.

We were left complimentary marshmallows which went down a treat with the children.
Hot chocolate , tea and coffee along with a selection of biscuits which was perfect after being on our feet all day.
Bottled water and milk also chilled in the fridge.

Everything you would need for a home from home stay… good sized fridge, cooker, hob and dishwasher and cutlery, so really no need to eat out if you’re on a budget while away, if not there is plenty of nearby pubs and cafes
If you’re planning on doing your own cooking there is a tescos a short drive away.

If you’re going with family, like us, there is plenty to do and visit.
We came to visit friends who lived here so we didn’t get chance but there are lots of places to go walking and exploring.

We visited Twycross zoo which is about a 40min drive away from the pods and also national forest adventure farm which took us 30mins … the pods are a perfect base if you’re visiting local attractions.
We can’t wait to come back as we have plenty more we would like to do.

The only thing I could say that wasn’t great was the Mattress was uncomfortable but this is just personal preference and it would not stop me staying here again.

We had had an amazing stay and looking forward to booking again in the summer.

Dreamboat! A definite must!
Gill and Justin -Thanks a million for such a tremendous weekend, it was completely dreamy in every single way! We all LOVED Park Hall Pods!! We can’t wait to return!
You have done such a marvellous job. The pods are phenomenal; so well equipped and the finishing touches like the yellow wall, tv frame and marbled coasters make it a cut above!! We loved our neighbouring cows, the hot tub, the hot showers and flushing toilets, the ice bucket in the middle of the table, the best fire pit/grill ever (I’m getting myself one of them!!), the bike ride to the country park, the recommended farm shop, the massive amount of butterflies and bunnies and my daughter was particularly impressed by how many playgrounds you have in such a small, rural area!
Hats off to you, what a fantastic business you have created.
To anyone thinking of staying here - you absolutely must! It’s a dream! Enjoy 😊

Jubilee weekend stay at Park Hall Pods
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, well worth the wait and the money. Everything is so well thought out . Bath robes and towels included and even slippers !! Open the fridge to find complimentary milk , water ( still & sparkling) and a bottle of prosecco. Little snacks also 😋 😍. The sofa bed is soo comfy !!! We literally spent our weekend stress free and chilled . The scenery is beautiful. The Bluetooth music speakers are really good too for when you sit by the fire pit or in the hot tub.....the local cows come up real close to listen to a bit of Bob marley 😉🤣 . The privacy of each pod is so well thought out , we couldn't see any of them from ours. The shower is nice and powerful and hot ! Gill & Justin have literally thought out everything to make your stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Thank you ❤️ we will be back xxx

Perfect weekend, perfect pod.
Had an amazing weekend in the Giant View pod. Every detail has been thoroughly thought about and this makes the pod stand out from any pod/glamping we have done before. We are a family of 4 and brought our dog along too (there was even a special bed and blanket left for the pooch!) The welcome pack was lovely with things like milk, coffee pods, tea, sugar, biscuits and even marshmallows to have over the fire pit. The added bonus was lovely dressing gowns and slippers. We spent most of our time in the hot tub over looking the beautiful views and cows roaming around in the fields. So peaceful. The fire pit was great and we easily managed to cook burgers and sausages on the well designed grill that can sit over the fire pit. The owners are so kind and friendly, we accidently left all our coats there and Justin kindly posted them all back to us without any cost. The pods are so roomy and clean. We had such a great time and would definitely go back. Thankyou
