The Travelier Motel is family-owned and operated. We are located just south of downtown Fulton, Missouri. Since opening, we've treated every guest like they were a part of our family. Sure, there are other places that may offer similar services, but our accommodations come with a personal touch. We keep our rooms very clean, the noise way down and the comfort way up. We have a mini-fridge, microwave and over 100 Dish network channels in each of our 30 rooms. We offer coin laundry, ice, vending and free Wi-Fi for our guests. We have 24 hour recorded video security and for those who require a little extra, beautiful kitchenettes. Please give us a chance to earn your business.

Once our regular stop in fulton mo. The non-smoking room we were first given stunk of cogarette smoke. Many long term residents, to the point that they have magnetic screens on their rooms. In the main parking lot was an old busted up, and not driveable Cadillac with someone sleeping in it all day and night, just gone from a great stay to ONLY STAY IF YOU CAN GET A ROOM ON THE FRONT. The front is the only place that there is reliable internet service. Probably or most likely dropped from our places to stay after 30 years of doing so on business and vacation.

I don't know why these reviews say anything positive. My experience was horrible, and the front desk did nothing to improve it. Checked in on Fri Nov 8 in afternoon. Need a shower only due to my disability. Get to my room, Number 20, and very musty odor like no one has stayed here. I sprayed disinfectant as I know this happens. The heater was an old in wall square that didn't heat the room let alone the bathroom. I figured I could get more blankets which I did, However, upon washing my hands in the sink, water gushes out through the pipes onto the floor. I have pics of this as they didn't fix it nor move me to any other room. I went to office for second time regarding the water issue. Was told management not available until Monday, no other rooms available that had a shower only, and that she was not a plumber. No assistance was offered, no adjustment to my charge was offered, I then asked for a bucket and left for my granddaughter's basketball game. I had paid for two nights, and was stuck with gushing water the whole time. Emptied out the bucket every time i washed my hands or brushed teeth, etc. The bugs were obvious on the bathroom floor so I made sure I wore water shoes in the shower and never bare feet anytime. My washrags were dirty but I only needed one so it was clean. The climate control didn't work, but as I said, they gave me extra blankets. I have been trying to get some sort of adjustment to my credit card for this issue that I should not have experienced but no response to day 3 of emails. I am deaf so need to communicate email or text. I use a cpap machine, could not breathe due to the burnt odor from the wall heater and the musty smell, this was a inconvenience but I am not holding that against the motel. I am concerned because the advertising is not accurate and if you have breathing issues, don't stay here. Now, it is possible that other newer rooms, if any, would be fairly decent. I don't know, but the motel should make right any problems that arise and they didn't even after I'd discussed with them. I will update if the motel does refund me any part of my cost in the future.…

Stayed just one night while passing through town. Old-fashioned motor court with parking at your door and real keys. Pluses: Clean, microwave and fridge, good bed. Free Wi-Fi, decent toiletries. Minuses: No dead-bolt on my door, thin curtain (remember, room looks right out on the parking lot), room was chilly and the climate control was impossible to figure out, tiny bathroom and the parking lot is in dire need of paving. (I thought my tiny car was going to disappear into a pothole. As my title suggested, fine for a night but should probably be priced $10-$15 less than I paid.

Positive: We liked Travelier's location- central to the sites we were interested in visiting. It was a great value- much less expensive than Columbia. We just needed a place to sleep for the night- our days were out & about. The young lady at the front desk was AWESOME- very friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable, and produced an extra pillow in seconds. We had a small issue in the room & she arranged for it's correction immediately. Plenty of towels. Our room was around the back side of the property which was excellent b/c we weren't disturbed by other visitors coming & going. Though we didn't use them, there is an ice machine and laundry facilities on site. There are also a couple of covered patio tables & cushioned chairs in the back which were nice to sit & relax in and do some stargazing. I appreciate that the whole facility is non-smoking. Negative: The curtain over the window was unbelievably thin & did not provide any privacy nor block the early morning sun which woke us up (our room faced East.) There aren't blinds either- just the thin curtain. The mattress in our room was very firm- too firm for us but OK for a very short stay. There was not a deadbolt lock on our door- just the handle lock; not sure if that was true of all the rooms, but we'd prefer a deadbolt for extra security & peace of mind.…

This motel has been around for many years. I have stayed there not long ago, and found it to be very clean, comfortable and well maintained. It is very close to downtown, Westminster College, the Churchill Museum and Library. Missouri School for the Deaf and many nice restaurants. The motel staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed there some time in 2017. I do not remember the month. The Jan. 2018 below is incorrect.

This was the second time in a year we stayed for a week while visiting family. Our first visit we stayed in a kitchenette. The room was a tad on the small side but the kitchen area was adequately equipped, so that was nice. The shower was just that, no tub, and that suited our needs just fine. My husband has bad hips, so it was easy for him to get in and out of. Our second visit was just as nice as the first. This time we stayed in the front of the motel, which was very nice. This time our room had a tub, which was an issue, so after two days we were moved to another room. It had the shower we needed and was one of the new remodeled rooms, which was decorated in blue and absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean, quiet, and were equipped with adequate towels and toiletries. We also were very pleased with the reasonable cost of the room, being given a weekly rate. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Checking in and checking out was a breeze. We have been pleased with everything they have to offer and they will be getting our business each time we return to Fulton.…

The reservation was made with Travelier weeks in advance of our planned trip,When we were advised by family that the motel may still be under renovation a call was made inquiring about the renovations. We were told that many renovations were complete and we would have a smoke-free renovated room. Being that I spent many childhood summers in Fulton/Callaway county I remembered the easy living of a small town and told my partner not to compare to city living nor to expect 4 star accommodations. I do not know which of us was more shocked once we opened the door the carpet was so filthy, to look at it caused my body to tingle. The television was dated which would not have been a big deal if the dish worked properly and the "queen" bed looked more like a double with a twin sized spread. Also, the room was not smoke-free (a room declared smoke free generally means, at a minimum, that you will not be permitted to smoke anywhere inside the building, on a balcony or within 3 metres outside of the building). There were cigarette butts everywhere outside of the room. The management has a long way to go to meet the definition of smoke-free, Possibly, removing the cigarette extinguisher cans away from the doors would be a great start or update your website. After a few minutes of discussion we returned to the front office and spoke with the staff and was assigned one of the upgraded rooms. It was actually the room shown on the website, very country chic. I did admire the outside patio and arbor area but I did not like dodging the large pot holes. Definitely not "home away from home" but the nice staff and the peaceful rest balanced out the negative attributes of our stay therefore, our stay was average.…

We had made a reservation at the Traveller when our plans called for our dog to travel with us. Our travel plans changed such that only my wife and I needed accommodations. We had spent the afternoon at a wedding in a hot and humid location and we were looking forward to a restful evening in an air conditioned room. Unfortunately we were in room 49, which was not one of the refurbished rooms. The window air conditioner, which looked like it was last cleaned quite some time ago, was off when we got to the room. We turned it on and noticed that it was going to take hours to cool off the room, which wasn't very large to begin with. We then found bugs in the shower and toilet and the overall room condition could have been considered dated at best. We made a decision to check out of the room less than 15 minutes after checking in. We want to support local family-owned establishments, but we could not bring ourselves to overlook the issues we found. Maybe we got the worst room in the bunch, but I don't think we will back to find out. Sorry. I didn't argue for a refund in the hopes that our $77 could be used to help pay for upgrades to room 49.…

Enjoyable and pet friendly hotel just a short distance outside of Jefferson City. The room was large and comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. Price was worth the short drive from work. Receptionist was friendly and helpful for anything we needed. will definitely stay here the next time in town.

My room was dirty when I checked in. Why have WiFi if it doesn’t work. Their idea of a kitchenette is a stovetop with no dishes or pots or pans with the same size refrigerators as that are in regular rooms. I’m here only because all other hotels are booked. I won’t be back.

I apologize for what seems to have been an unpleasant experience at our hotel. Unlike the larger chain hotels in the area, some of our rooms have a floor plan that may not be what your use to. With all of the other hotels being booked in town, there is a good chance that we to were fully booked. Unfortunately, not all of our rooms have been completely remodeled as we are in the process of making many changes and upgrades. Most likely, you stayed in one of the two remaining rooms that are slotted to be renovated this very month. Rooms that have not yet been through the renovation process are always the last rooms rented out. I assure you, that while some of our furnishings in those rooms may have been a bit dated or showing wear, those rooms are clean. Our hotel is unique among a sea of cookie cutter hotels. Some guests welcome those subtle quaint difference while others, understandably do not.. Many enjoy the fact and appreciate that we are family owned and operated. although our hotel was built in the mid 50's, we have made upgrades to incorporate modern conveniences such as WiFi, Dish Network and for the extended stay guest, a kitchenette. Room size and floor plans generally dictate the type and size of an appliance. Some rooms have larger refrigerators because it makes sense while others do not. Some kitchenettes have full stoves with ovens while some just a stove top. These differences are reflected in the pricing the same way you may expect when renting a room with a queen bed verses a room with two queen beds. Kitchenettes do have dishes and cookware. If we are not renting the room for an extended stay period or we rented it at a significant discount, it is our policy to not stock it with dishes and cookware. Nightly guests generally do not stay in kitchenettes unless they specifically request one. Kitchenettes are usually reserved for extended stay guests. When the whole town is full because of a large event, we will open them up for a lucky guest just like yourself who waited to long to book at their first choice. Construction crews, hunters and traveling family's tired of eating fast food are usually the ones who rent a kitchenette. Thanks for staying!
