We were looking for a hotel at the last minute to tour around Arles, Baux and perhaps St Remy but didn't want to break the bank. Hotel des Echevins had availability at a good price (80 euro vs the 150-600 euro we were seeing in the area,) so we tried it. The common areas look quite nice. The entry and... More

We were in Tarascon for a wedding and it was a first visit to Provence. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel on the first floor - quiet enough at night when the windows were closed. Comfortable bed and very clean. Would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities. Very good breakfast for around 10 Euro. We arrived... More

This hotel was one of a few accommodations listed as a base in order to attend a wedding. First impression it looked nice, clean and welcoming. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and spoke good English. As there was a party of us, we were placed on two different floors which wasn't a problem. Our room was spacious, the beds were comfortable. The only... More

This place is gross and the staff is dismissive. We arrived late at night and though we were told there was free parking nearby, it took us ages to find some. Everywhere was seedy and dangerous with scores of young men wandering about. The room itself was worse than a college dormitory, with God awful bed spreads, that were not... More

We booked here as a "plan B" because our regular hotel was fully booked, and we had left it a bit late. It was clean, well decorated, and ideal as a base to operate from. However, our room at the back of the top floor was noisy at night from street activity below (and a loose manhole cover that "clik-claked"... More

We stayed here for one night after a cruise along the Rhone River. The staff spoke good English and checked us in on the top level which was quiet. Our room was large and very clean. We had dinner at the adjoining restaurant which was excellent and reasonably priced. The main feature of Tarascon is the castle next to the... More

Functional and adequate hotel. Friend had a really good shower in a new bathroom, we had a shower in a bath. Internet (3 hours per day only) OK bit slow. But reception staff most helpful, let us book in early, booked a good restaurant, took a lot of trouble to get taxis and to sort out some travel problems. Very... More

I'm a traveller who is pretty easily pleased so we stayed here for 2 nights in August while at a friend's wedding in the area. Parking nearby in high season (late August) was pretty hard - you will find a space but might be a 5min+ walk. The reception staff are fine - nothing to rave about but they got... More

We chose this town for its close and equal proximity to Arles, Avignon and Nimes as we only had a couple of nights to see as much as we could. Tarascon itself was quiet despite its size and charming if slightly run down, and the hotel conveniently located right in the centre. We parked relatively easily just outside on the... More

This is an excellent family run hotel in the centre of Tarrascon which is near Avignon so very central for visiting the historic cities in the area. The food was excellent with Taureau meat served (this is an appellation controlee meat from the Camargue). A very friendly stay.
