We have just experienced two of the most perfect nights stays in Jessies Cottage of Daisy Bank Cottages. We chose Daisy Bank wanting to be close to the township of Richmond to experience what the historic town had to offer. We werent disappointed. We took the 3 minute drive from the town center to Daisy Bank where We were greated by two of the most beautiful and friendly dogs Pip and Charlie before being introduced to their owner and host Hana. Our welcome by Hana was nothing shy of friendly overwhelmingly warm hospitality and couldnt be more lovelier person to introduce us to this magnificent Cottage. On entry into the cottages theres a fabulous picket fence where just like you see in the movies a farm gate opens into the grounds of your accomodation. Stunning cottage gardens surround the grounds which were lovely and admired each morning whilst drinking our coffee as the sun glistened over them. The cottage is beautifully presented with a stunning kitchen with everything needed to cook a home meal which we did on both nights of our stay. Oven, stove top, full draw of utensils, cooking pots pans, full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen table and chairs as well as a lovely welshdresser adorned with willow patterened plates - total dream. The living area was cosy and very comfortable with a writing desk, large lounge, arm chair digital TV and coffee table, not to mention the magnificent pot belly fire place which kept us lovely and warm on the chilly nights. The bathroom is beautiful and bright with a shower and lovely spa perfect for soaking in after a day of exploring. Upstairs boasts a very attractive comfortable kingsize bed with beautiful windows overlooking the property and vista of the hills. The only issue we had was by our own accord, with our stay was it wasnt long enough! We adored every minue of the magical and serene feeling Daisy Bank Cottages provided and would not hesitate in recommending to any of our friends or family visiting Tasmania. As a Perth based wedding planner I will be adding this stunning property to our list of highly recommended stays for our couples wanting recommendations for their honeymoons as Daisy Bank is up there with the best. Highly Rated. To Hana, Ben, Hamish and Summer we thankyou for sharing part of your property with us and will certainly come back to stay again.

Highlight of our first time in Tasmania, stunning property and accomodation with great hosts. Checking in and out was easy, cottage was spacious and cosy. Our toddler even got to feed the sheep! We can’t wait to stay here again.

Great location. Great place - warm and cosy via the heater, and a wood burner.

Well appointed, clean. Bed absolutely comfortable. Walking distance to Richmond if you wanted, and Pooley vineyard.

Only negative was I was only there for two nights - wish I was there for longer. Great for solos, couple or families.

Thanks Hanna and family (and animals). Hopefully will be back at some stage. Total value for money.

My wife and I stayed at Daisy Bank Cottages in December 2014. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and were lucky enough to meet the two beautiful Smithfield sheepdogs Charlie and Patch!

The cottage we stayed in was brilliant - clean, spacious and oozing genuine rustic charm, we couldn't have asked for a better first taste of Tasmania! The facilities are fantastic too, the complimentary breakfast of free range eggs, bacon, bread, butter and coffee being a great way to start each day.

We were allowed to walk around the farm property, taking in the view from up on the hill and patting some horses along the way, a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

Daisy Bank is situated in the heart of the Coal Valley wine region and about 20 minutes from Hobart, the cottages are the perfect base to discover what the south coast of Tasmania has to offer.

Thanks to our wonderful hosts, we will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful property. We spent 5 days in Hobart and then a final evening here. What a mistake! The hotels in Hobart were all noisy and pushed in amongst bars and clubs. After several nights with vibrating rooms ( caused by noise) it was heaven to arrive at Daisy Bank. If you are going to Hobart and want the best stay ever, spend the 20 mins commuting from Daisy Bank to Hobart.
Daisy Bank is genuinely a self contained apartment, it has lots of space, and excellent kitchen, and is very well appointed. It's set on a lovely farm and within a stones throw of Richmond and the wineries.

Daisy Bank Cottages are situated on a beautiful farm very convenient to Hobart and lots of other sight seeing in Tasmania. There are two cottages of top quality accommodation that includes delicious breakfast provisions - farm fresh eggs, bacon, marmalade, jams, bread, butter, milk and fresh fruit. The beds are so comfortable! We love the place so much we have stayed there three times and wouldn't consider anywhere else when visiting Tasmania. The hosts are lovely - very warm, friendly and helpful and the setting coud not be more scenic. I would recommend Daisy Bank cottages to everyone, and it's an extra special place to stay for kids as they can enjoy the farm setting and the animals. My son never wanted to leave!!

My husband and I stayed in the Daisy bank spa cottage in Febuary this year. What a beautiful place to stay, it felt so homely and peaceful. Hanna our host greeted us with a warm welcome . There was fresh eggs and bacon in the fridge, abowl of fruit on the table, we could not ask for more. I would recommend this accomadation to anyone visiting RIchmond Tasmania. You will not be disappolnted.

Having stayed in 3 different accommodation in our family Tasmanian trip, this was by far the best. We were greeted by friendly owner of the property who took the time to explain the facilities within the cottage, as well as what was happening on the farm. The cottage had nice balanced country style interior, with good mixture of modern amenities, especially the bathroom which had a nice spa bath. The place was spotless clean. We all loved the fireplace warming us. The kitchen had all the utensils needed to cook a meal. We were provided with electric blanket and extra blankets. I would recommend this place to anyone!

We were extremely comfortable and incredibly well-looked-after in this cosy and spotless cottage. Views were great, especially when we trekked up to the higher grounds of the farm. It was great to have a BBQ and laundry to use. The spa was very relaxing, and the hand-made organic soaps - a nice touch. Hana and Ben, the friendly hosts, seem to have every detail covered for our 3-day stay - we felt at home, and lucky to be there.

My son and I loved every minute of our stay in Richmond, thanks to the warm welcome and thoughtfulness of hosts Hannah and Ben at the Daisy Bank Cottages. (Patch and Charlie (dogs) also helped to make us feel at home!)
Richmond is wonderfully situated as a base for exploring Tasmania, especially for those en route to Port Arthur or the East Coast. It has some lovely antique shops and restaurants, and one of the best miniature villages ever made in the form of Old Hobart Town.
Well worth the visit in every way!
