When you arrive, Chris (Jamaican guy) greets you and helps you with the luggage. He is full of smiles and can give you advice on where to go for fun activities or places to eat. The in house restaurant has the best bacon! Shawn, I think is who runs the restaurant and Brenda who serves works their tails off. He made sure our coffee and drinks were never empty.
Water pressure was super strong and water was good to drink from the tap.
The room has a BIG fridge in the room. I wish it was a little colder, but good enough. The air conditioner works great and we had I had a GREAT view of Lake of the Ozarks. I didn't spend much time in the pool because I was out on the lake. BUT they had a fun bar next to the pool that made some great drinks! Fun staff and super nice people that work there. Will be back in a couple of years.

Very disappointed. I had chicken Alfredo and it was the worst I have ever had. It did not taste right at all. The chicken was not all that good either. It was $15 and I didn't and couldn't eat it.
I am going to put some pictures on here. The bathroom floor is filthy, the shower was a mess, someone actually painted it. The wall paper is falling off and I swear they were used sheets
The elevators walls were pretty beat up. The furniture is old. It is a shame because it is right on the water and there are several boat slips where folks can boat and go eat, but the food was terrible.

Response from Aron Cho, Marketing at Inn At Grand Glaize
Responded 8 Jun 2022
We are sorry this was your experience at our hotel. Like most restaurants, we would not normally charge for a meal a guest doesnt eat. We will remind our staff of this policy. We appreciate when guests share any issues with us in person so we can get them fixed before another guest arrives.

First the good. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and courteous. Now the bad. The desk clerk had trouble with our check in because as they stated " It's from the 1980s and always freezing up and has to be restarted". The elevator had graffiti scratched into the walls. We were on an upper floor and the large windows in the hallway were covered with dirt and spider webs on the outside. The air conditioning was off in our room and it had a musty odor. My wife found a used bar of soap in the shower from a previous guest. I walked out on the balcony and the screen door was off the track. the furniture looked like it was from a yard sale. The lawn below was covered with beer cans, food wrappers and other assorted garbage. My wife and I decided to eat in the bar even though it was only rated 3 stars. I had the burger and my wife had the French dip. They were both OK but not worth the $12 per plate. I wanted a bourbon after dinner but the bar had the sorriest selection of liquors I've seen in some time. The next morning I went downstairs for coffee {which was undrinkable} and found that the hotel didn't even offer a simple continental breakfast. I've stayed in lower priced hotels that at least offered something! This place needs a lot of work, updates and repairs

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The only plus side about this Inn was Chris. Every time we left or got back, Chris was there to open the door for us and ask us how we were doing with the biggest smile on his face. Chris gets 5+ stars. Everything else gets 0. This place is so overpriced for what you get. I spent over $500 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. I paid extra for a king suite with a lake view and balcony vs. my friends who got a double queen room and their room was nicer than mine. My “lake view” was grass, gravel, 3 trucks, and a family of raccoons. The balcony door wouldn’t even work and the balcony railing was definitely broken. There were bugs on top of the ceiling in the shower, the AC barely worked, the sheets came off the bed every time you moved which was gross because you basically were touching the bare mattress and you could hear everything your neighbors were saying. I also found a bug in the bed and was not able to sleep after that! The sheets were stained from god knows what. Half the outlets in the room were broken. The shower curtain was ineffective and every time you showered, you basically flooded the bathroom. Your room key will randomly decide to stop working at the most inconvenient time. The elevator will decide to go to random floors even when you push the button for the floor you want to go to so I recommend getting your steps in and taking the stairs. Since we were there on a holiday weekend, we definitely saw a lot of younger adults and needless to say, my floor reeked of vomit so bring a black light and some air fresheners. There’s no ice machine (at least not one that we could find) and if you want water that doesn’t taste like the lake, you have to buy it for $2.99 from the front desk. I just went to the bar and asked for a cup of water whenever they were open because why would I pay for something that literally falls out of the sky! You will see many dead armadillos when you pull in to the parking lot. During our 2 night stay, we saw a total of 4 dead armadillos. RIP Armando! Overall, would not recommend to my worst enemy but hey, if you need a place to sleep and don’t mind paying extra for literally nothing, then this is the place for you! Hopefully this review saves you from the nightmare we encountered. Enjoy your trip to the lake and make sure you hit up Jeff from 365 Cabs at (573) 410-2277 for the best prices and quickest pick up time!

We stayed here over the 4th of July ( 6/30/2022 -7-5-2022), extremely poor motel. Per the website we were to get cable Tv, daily housekeeping and shampoo, got none of these. The room did have an odor the bathroom did have an odor the tub was disgusting, had chips out and looked dirty. There was no shampoo however we did have a bar of soap, We did not get daily housekeeping, had to call front desk to ask for towels daily, however they did not bring to room, had to pickup at front desk, and on the second day was told they were out of towels and wouldn't have any until next day when housekeeping came in. The website states cable tv did not get that either only got analog channels, which did not match the guide left in room. When asked front desk was told they didn't know why and would contact cable company, nothing changed. We also found a bag over the smoke detector, notified front desk and it was removed, which clearly shows housekeeping is not doing their job. Sent email to general manager about our concerns and on did receive a call from general manager trying to discuss the problems, basically she did not want to take any responsibility for any of the problems, stating that she has only been there for two weeks and blaming the owner. She told me that the hotel does provide shampoo and soap, to which I told her we had none. She told me that she just came from the room (Monday 7/11/2022) stating that there was a a partial bottle of shampoo in the bathroom. I then said well someone finally did their job. I then asked if she really thought that I would be so upset about a bottle of shampoo, to which she told me that if I continue to insult her this conversation is over and hung up. I also sent an email to Hotels .com which is who we booked our stay through, they were very little help, they did get a refund of $106.00 which not even one night stay. In summary, this motel is horrible and general manager doesn't want to take responsibility and only wants to blame the owners.

I would not recommend this hotel at ALL. We stayed and when you check in the hotel looks nice, however once you get on the elevator it is all downhill from there. The elevator will creek and sound like cables are banging around and feel pretty unsafe. Once we got to our room, our bathroom was DISGUSTING. Our tub was cracked, didn't drain good at all, the shower curtain smelled so bad like mildew/mold. There was still old trash under the sink, the toilet had a mold ring around it, didn't look clean at all. Our sink drain didn't always work either. Our room was very dated, there was mold in corners, and the paint and the plaster were falling off. Our dresser was being balanced by a piece of cardboard. The screen for the balcony was unusable, if you wanted to. There were cobwebs in our room. Door didn't shut tight at all. We were there for 3 night and 4 days - not once did our trash get emptied or did I see a housekeeper for fresh towel. When asked the front desk they told me that they did not have any to replace our used towels because they didn't have any clean ones.
The best part was the gentelman holding the door. He was always smiling and greated us.

In our $152.00 "Queen"room that we just found on the phone it was a great disappointment..
The shower was not very trustworthy in this
covid world, not too clean, and the sheets were dirty one had blood on it and they were so rumpled like they had been used, we called the desk and they brought us more we had to put them on and I am 80 years old and very tired from travel.I will certainly tell people NOT to go there...parking was a disaster.

What I recommend Best about Inn at Grand Glaze is Chris, the hospitality guy! The kindness he showed my Wife & kids was Second to None! He made the difference in our stay, from his smile to his warm friendly demeanor. He was Five Stars across the board! We believe in All Seriousness that Chris deserves two more zeros put at the end of each paycheck from this moment on. He was All That!! You don’t get the Royal treatment at Five Star Hotels the way Chris treated, not only us, but every single Guest I saw! He always opened doors, conversed with Guests, & transported people to & from the pool. All this with that smile! He truly made our stay at your hotel an outstanding memorable experience worthy of mention. 💯😊😍🕊❤️✝️❤️

We came from Omaha Nebraska to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Right away we were greeted by Chris. "It's not what you say, it's not what you do, it's how you make a person feel that they will always remember. This Maya Angelou quote describes Chris spot on. I have worked in the hospitality industry for 18 years and I don't think I ever had an employee as AWESOME as Chris. He wanted to help with everything and anything from giving a ride to the pool, helping with our luggage, a ride to our car, and we even saw him helping another guest with an air machine to blow up their tubes. He is the BEST! Hopefully the owners and management compensate him well for his great service and loyalty of 19 years! The front desk on the other hand was a complete mess when we checked in. We were standing in line forever, no one acknowledged us, and the older gentleman was rude, didn't have people skills and when we asked for information of the area he was clueless. I can't remember his name but he was older with glasses and was wearing a blue shirt. The hotel is awesome and our room was great, overlooking the lake and pool. The hotel is slightly dated and could use a renovation, the game room should be cleaned and the vending machine filled but again the atmosphere and Chris's service made up for these small issues. We will definitely be back again! Thank you <3

First of all, the room gave me terrible the entire time I stayed, most likely due to mold. When we first walked in the room it was extremely hot. We had requested a room with two queens and instead got a king and a pullout. However, the pullout was blocked in by furniture and we had to rearrange the room to get the bed out. The water was extremely hot and smelled horrible. The whole floor smelt like sewage. The shower floor was very very dirty and when someone showered in it a cockroach crawled out of the faucet. The toilet had trouble flushing and as soon as we walked in the room for the first time it was running. It has been running on and off. There is no closet and the rooms mostly connect, which means you can hear everything from rooms Ceiling had things falling from it while we slept. Water temperature took forever to change. Concerned about bed bugs and roaches. The rooms have fairly dim lighting and there was no fan. There aren't many outlets and the ones that exist are hard to maneuver. Would not stay here again!!!

I do not understand it , it was $132.00 plus fees and taxes bringing it to $152.00....as she was so very tired she paid it with her credit card but TripAdvusor has it in the $80 range with one special of $72...guess they are just greedy...
The hotel does not have grills - fire department regulations. Our docks are idea to fish from.
