Day 2 on the Camino. The Pension is right up the other end of town, and so a bit hard to find. From the outside it looks more like a cafe. No English is spoken I didn't quite figure the family structure. The owner's mother (I think) is a delightful middle aged Spanish woman, who, even with limiter language capability...

After a long day on the Camino we pulled into Larrasoana - a one street town. Casa Sangalo was the only "non-hotel ' we stayed in during our 9 days and it was great. The place was clean and accommodating and we signed up for dinner that included a huge salad and steak and wine. We had 2 of the...

My friend and I spend one night here on our camino. This is a family home. Our room was clean and comfortable. The backyard garden is lovely. The family was friendly and helpful. A French family stayed there at the same time and we enjoyed their company at dinner and breakfast.

After walking 25km we arrived at the Casa very tired. Whilst our host did not soeak any English and we didn't speak any Spanish, we were still able to manage our booking and book a place for dinner with other pilgrims. Our hostess was a real treat. Our room was perfect - on the ground floor. The bed was comfortable,...

Owned and operated by a very nice family, but very little English spoken. We were greeted warmly and offered a complimentary soda and beer, along with a plate of olives which we enjoyed on the patio. Our room was clean and we had a private bathroom. This is definitely a "home" and as such your room is right in the...

Did not like this place at all. The dog was barking outside from 5a.m. The breakfast was a baguette with butter and pineapple juice. No cheese,no jambon, no yogurt! And I paid 70e for a room on my own. The room was just off the living area and it was very noisy the evening I arrived. I definitely would not...

This was definitely the best place we stayed at during our 10 days walking recently. The hospitality was wonderful and we were allowed to wash our clothes and hang them out to dry, use the pool and chill out in lovely back garden. The bar was open with tea, coffee, water, beer etc available to purchase. The food was excellent...

Angie and I stayed in El Camino mid September of this year and the owners could not have been more helpful. This is a Pension costing €60 for the two of us including breakfast so we were no expecting 5* accomodation. The bedroom and ensuite were exceptionally clean and just what was needed after our trek. The patio area at...

We were walking the Camino de Santiago for our first family holiday (our little one was 9.5 months at the time of travelling) and we had pre-booked accommodation up to 1 night at Casa Sangalo. The trek from St Jean to Larrasoana, is fairly long, even going via Valcarlos and by the time we arrived we were in need of...

“There is only one room with an en-suite, so if you require this, book early! - otherwise the shared bathroom is very well appointed too. If you are not walking the Camino, then you will need a car, as there is not a lot in the village and public transport is not too frequent.”
