We stayed at the Gallatin River Lodge on our winter trek across the country from Victoria, BC to Oakville, Ontario. (I know - a winter trek is insanity!) The lodge is rustic and charming. We were a family of 3 with a 52 lb dog and a cat as well travelling 4,500 km in winter. We

On the positive side: the staff was very friendly; it was quiet and the breakfasts were great. On the negative side: the room was very overpriced; the door to the room did not lock (although i was never worried since it seemed a very safe location); the bathroom had no grab

mizlibrarian, We are happy to hear that you found our staff to be friendly, and that you enjoyed the quiet location of the Lodge, as well as the breakfast each morning. We are very sorry to hear that we missed the mark on providing the best value for your accommodations. We do our best to provide our guests with a stunning location overlooking the mountains and pastures, beautifully appointed accommodations with Comphy Co. sheets, comforters, and robes, as well as either Jacuzzi suites with fireplaces, or Lodge rooms with radiant floor heat and tiled spa showers. We do appreciate the suggestion to add additional support for all guests in the bathroom areas. While we are on a secluded 20 acre property with most of the property available to explore, along with our fishing access points, there are not public trails adjacent to the property. We do serve a creative, locally sourced menu, and while portions are not oversized, we do our best to provide a good value for each guest with regards to all of our meals. We will certainly pass along your thoughtful feedback to our staff, and do hope we have the opportunity to serve you again soon. Kind regards, PJ Wirchansky Lodge Manager

We were travelling through the area and had to check this place out. It was beautiful. The fall colours surrounding us combined with this cozy lodge was like a warm hug. The food was fantastic and the staff friendly and accommodating.

Johnny, our apologies for the lateness in replying, as we were just notified of your question. The Trout Lodge rooms are very quiet, as they are located in a new building away from the common areas of the Lodge. That being said, the entire property is fairly quiet, especially as many of our guests are respectful and turn in at a relatively early time each evening. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help. Feel free to reach out to us directly on our website or email or call us 406-388-0148. We hope to see you soon. Kind regards, PJ Wirchansky Lodge Manager

It looks about half a mile away. Walkable out side of winter months.

We are located near Bozeman, Montana not Manchester. We do provide free airport shuttle service to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. There are taxi services available from our location to Bozeman which is just 15 minutes from our Hotel.
