This hotel has a beautiful lobby and absolutely wonderful rooms. It's set in downtown Livingston within walking distance of the river and the train depot. The bathroom was new with a large shower and large claw-foot tub. Bed was very comfortable, room was large and the chairs were comfortable. Lobby is divided into several conversation areas.

We stayed here on a tour of USA for two nights. Livingston is a charming small town and The Murray the jewel in the crown. It has such atmosphere that you can not be anything other than impressed. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable, with a great bed. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. We...

This updated hotel is ideally located making everything downtown walkable. Your choice of a casual bar with live music or an upscale restaurant in the same building further add to the amenities. The lobby is cozy and well appointed with period pieces. There is a mezzanine desktop PC and a rooftop patio affording mountain/sunset views. There will be a few...

Well maintained 19th century hotel and appointed with in-period furniture. Too bad a loud and poorly tuned band played until 1pm below us. A nicely appointed room is less important than getting sleep in any room. Management did not respond to our multiple attempts to discuss this issue with them.

Even though they say free parking, it is only free if you go about 6 blocks away to park, or park after 5:00 pm if you can find a space, then move before 11:00 am. during the week. On weekends you can use bank parking lot. Also, the elevator is over 100 years old and fun. However it requires staff...

What a great, quaint Wild West hotel - we loved the public areas (including the bar!), and our queen suite was fantastic, with lots of space, and wonderful, period furniture and detailing. From check in to lift to bar to bedrooms... A real, quality experience, and a favourite stopover on our three week tour of Montana.

It's a well-restored, well-cared for old hotel in a great little town in central Montana. It's quaint as can be, with lots of antiques in the lobby and a great old elevator that needs to be run by the staff. It's right in the heart of downtown Livingston, so you can walk to all sorts of great little shops and...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Murray Hotel. The hotel was clean and very unique with an old time feel. The staff was great and welcoming. Location was excellent. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. Great roof deck too on the 4th floor. Only drawback is there is an elevator but only operated by...

Stepping into The Murray Hotel in Livingston is like stepping back in time. The lobby is filled with old photos and memorabilia from the hotel’s early years. The Murray was strategically built just across the street from the Livingston Train Station, which itself was built to accommodate the tourists, movie stars, and cowboys, heading to Yellowstone. Early on everyone would...

We stayed at the Murray Hotel for one night, while passing through on our way to Yellowstone Park. We found it to be very charming and comfortable, with beautiful furnishings, interesting history, and comfy beds. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 and wished we could have spent one or two more nights there! I read some...
