The hotel was ok. Unfortunately I think all of West Yellowstone is way overpriced during the summer months. This is nowhere near what I would expect of a $289+ per night hotel. This room is worth $125-$160 per night but unfortunately if you want to stay in West Yellowstone you get gouged all the way around. Location is convenient. The...

Thank you for staying with us. Yes, our location, only 6 blocks from Yellowstone Park entrance is the biggest advantage of this hotel and our rates are competitive in the area. We're glad you enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and other ammenities. We try to encourage guest to quiet down by 11 pm so everyone can get a good...

Newly renovated rooms, very classy and beds were so comfortable. The microwave, refrigerator and roomy storage were a great surprise. Located at the edge of town, very quiet, friendly, and looked out on pine trees and hills.

Location is excellent next to West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. There is a lot of nice shops and restaurants not far from hotel. Very kindly staff, the front desk lady suggested the restaurant for dinner and it was really delicious. Rooms are a bit small but clean. Beds are O.K. Breakfast could be little better.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days while visiting Yellowstone National Park. This hotel had the best price I could find and per the photos looked reasonably decent. That being said all hotels in the area are overpriced! The hotel is situated at the end of a road that leads directly to the downtown area and is approximately a...

Checked into reserved room with no problem. Hotel is at end of road, no places to eat within walking distance, but much quieter and no traffic compared to other options. Basic hotel, nothing fancy. You will pay a premium to stay in West Yellowstone during the summer. Breakfast was typical, waffles, biscuits and gravy... Bus load of tourist on same...

We appreciate your comments. Almost everything in West Yellowstone is within walking distance. There are restaurants and shopping six blocks from the hotel. Summer is our busiest season so many people find our location at the edge of town a little more quite and comfortable.

Reviewed 29 June 2016

The rooms were clean and enough space for 4 people, but the price they charge is excessive, $339 per night. Stayed at a Mountain Resort Condo for $165 per night, this room should not have been over $150.

Thank your for your comments. We're happy you found your room clean and spacious. The location of hotels in West Yellowstone is what is really driving the rate. You can access the park from our location in 5 mins. so it's easy to visit daily without having to drive miles and miles before even getting to the park entrance.

We will be leaving West Yellowstone in the morning, but this is our second week long stay at the West Gate hotel in 2 years. The hotel is in a great location; close to the park entrance, but a few steps away from the hub of this busy little town. The rooms are clean, beds are good, but the people...

This hotel room is clean & the staff is friendly. $300 a night is way too much for this room. It is very plain and old. The breakfast is not good at all. Food was cold. Biscuits tasted like they were taken out of the bag and put on a tray. Not even warmed. If I'm going to spend this...

The room we stayed in was beautiful. Very clean. There was a lot of room for kids. Very impressed. Of course it is a little pricey but everything is at Yellowstone. They have a nice breakfast that should have something for everyone. I would stay again.
