Knepp - one of the largest re-wilding projects in lowland Europe. Encounter herds of wild ponies, cattle, deer and pigs as they roam 3,500 acres of Sussex, driving the forces of habitat regeneration. Join us on one of our vehicle-based safaris or guided walking tours and experience our profusion of birds, mammals, butterflies, beetles, reptiles, plants and fungi in a setting that feels as wild and dynamic as the African bush. Stay in one of our beautiful shepherd's huts or luxurious tents, or simply pitch your own in our exclusive Wildland campsite. You don't have to take one of our safaris to stay here, and you don't have to stay here to take a safari - though naturally we hope you'll be tempted to combine the two.

Great site, great idea, great passion for real wildlife. Easy to organise and walk around, easy to find and definitely want to return and see more, shame the tours are booked up months ahead but I can see why.

Beautiful yurt thoughtfully set up. Well equipped kitchen too, with tea, coffee, milk, fridge, freezer, and a lovely seating area. We lay awake listening to the deer, pigs and owls, and loved being in this beautiful wonderful place. Well worth the money.

Glam ping can mean many things and can take many forms. Knepp is based on a brilliant wild concept and the camp site mirrors that. It is totally in its environment whilst sacficing nothing to comfort for it’s guests. the bedding was superb on a comfortable and warm bed in a

Stayed for three nights and four days at knepp. Amazing time hearing owls, foxes and fallow deer clashing at night. Also red deers roaring. Walks are amazing straight from the campsite, saw foxes, herons. Barn owls, feisty fallow deers, red deers exhausted from their rut,

No. It's a short walk from the car park but there are wheelbarrows to help carry your kit. And it's nice keeping cars away from the camping area to preserve the nature vibe.

I don't think any of the yurts have electricity but there is a kitchen hut very close by (20 second walk) with plug sockets for charging phones etc. The main reception building has plug sockets too.

"This is not a hotel, despite Trip Advisor keep telling me it is. You can rent luxury yurts or a tree house or take your own tent."
"Try camping close - but not too close - to the pitch-up kitchen"
"see comments"
"In the heat, the tents in the woods will allow you to sleep in without over heating."
"I personally love the sheperds huts."
