Beautiful and well restored buildings. Nice big rooms with a view. I felt very welcome at this place, and the service level is the best. Super spa area, with pool, steam bath, and sauna. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast. All in all: a top class hotel. Definitely my new favorite in this area.

This is genuinely one of the hotels that stick in your memory for being special, and we have stayed in many nice hotels in many countries. Modern, clean and stylish, a very warm welcome from the staff, and this was maintained throughout our stay. Our room was clean and spacious, large and comfortable bed, stylish bathroom with great shower and quality toiletries. Breakfast was exceptional, prepared and served to your table (not buffet style - very important and appreciated in the current Covid world), we looked forward to our breakfast each morning. We also ate dinner here on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, food and service were exceptional. Prices on the expensive side, certainly for Slovakia, but the quality of everything justified the price. Would be nice to see more Slovak wines on the wine list. Couple of small negatives - due to the location you can’t really walk anywhere in the evening for an alternative dinner, we took the car into Dolny Kubín for dinner one night and the options were quite limited and not so appealing. Another slight issue was the traffic noise from the main road, but we managed to sleep ok with the window open at night. To summarise, an exceptional place to stay, we highly recommended it and we will surely return there again soon.

What an absolute treasure among the soul-less hotel chains and independently owned places forever stuck in the past decades. To see the place before the restoration years ago and now took our breath away. The exclusive and limited availability adds to this gem even more value. Definitely check before you make your travel arrangements to avoid disappointment. We have visited the hotel mid-week on Wednesday only for the one-night experience. From the first moment when you arrive at the entry gate, you can feel this is no ordinary place to stay. The staff was wonderful, smiley, friendly, warm and made us feel like we are one of the long-time regular guests. Welcome drinks came as surprise as it is not something you see a lot in Slovakia. Clearly the owners travelled a bit more than just to Bratislava to learn the level of hospitality is now around the world from the best places to stay. The quality of the hotel building, room, wellness and whole restoration of the manor-house is impeccable and no surprise it took the owners more than 10 years to get it done. Wellness is cute, small little space of the relax heaven on its own neatly tucked next to the lobby area with a great view outside through oversized windows. The place is ideal for the events and special occasions due to its countless options to capture the unique moments in beautiful surroundings indoors or outdoors. Fine dining restaurant adds to the whole experience lovely touch. Personally, I think there is a potential to have a Michelin star as well If desired by the owners and the team. The cooking style is seasonal, simple and focused to please not only your pallet but all your senses. It reminds me a little bit of cooking of great British Chef William Drabble. However, if you prefer the more local and rustic way of dining, you may find the portions way too small, sophisticated and delicate. The wine cart to complement the simple menu offered low to mid-range priced bottles of the wines from their preferred winemakers. No big pricey names but rather more settle selection of the most desirable bouquets to meet demand. All in all, our stay was among the best we had in years from all trips we did so far around the globe. Considering the location, the market, the state of the place before and the challenges of the current hospitality climate this hotel is way ahead of others in Slovakia when comes to quality even beyond the Slovakia border. We left the place with the promise that we will definitely be back in the future. This hotel is simply special, and you can feel the energy and love which have been invested to transform neglected old ruins into a truly magical place to stay. Thank you for your delightful memories.

A very comfy hotel with all amenities you need. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional and took exceptionally great care of us. Great wellness area. Very fresh breakfast with an offer of egg preparation according to our wishes. Cuisine is something you have to try. Their three-course menu and wine in Amalia restaurant were great. We were accommodated in Apartman Exclusive in a historic building. The room had an interesting floor plan and a wooden balcony overlooking the garden and the spa. Everything was cozy and extremely clean. One of the best accommodations ever. We look forward to another visit and recommend it to everyone.

This facility is completely new. In really good shape. If you want to feel like a king this is a place. It has a style, quality and friendly staff. Breakfast maybe is no so big as in other chain hotels but fresh and eggs prepared directly before serve ... delicious.

I absolutely adore this place. Everything was far over my expectations. You get much more than you pay for. The atmosphere, food, staff/service, everything. This is a place which connects history and modern style of accommodation with a fine sense for a detail. You definitely have to try the food. The staff will explain what is served (what you eat) and which drink suits to it best. Breakfast is very tasty and fresh, everybody finds something, even vegetarians. And they make the eggs according to your wish, which is only one example how personally they treat with all their guests one by one. The rooms are clean and furnished nicely, bathroom is big, and the mattresses very comfy. The free soft drinks in the minibar were another plus, you usually do not get. I (as a Slovakian) honestly am proud of this place and people who are behind it. I definitely will come back soon (hope soon), and I am thinking of making it a habit.

We spent two nights in beautiful Kastiel Kubinyi. All property is renovated with such a care, going deep into the details, so can feel like living in the past. Owners are planing to open superb Spa area and new room in annex, so then you can relax whole day in such a wonderful setting, with one of the best restaurant in Slovakia. The breakfast is simply amazing. From fresh baked bread and croisants, to fresh juices and smoothies, to made on order eggs on all kinds. The staff on reception, in kitchen, in breakfast ist simply one of the best I ever meet in my life. And when you see my reviews, believe me, I overlived it a lot. They make you stay very pleasant, and word "no" is not in their vocabulary. And it is very rare in Slovakia. We will definitely return to Kastiel Kubinyi. Attentive staff, top notch setting and last, but not least one of the best restaurant's in Slovakia (see my review on restaurant Amalia) make this property worth to visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
