Attempting to ensure the optimum room, I went for the superior, top price option - very pleasant size and decorations, but too hot at arrival and impossible to open the one small window available. More importantly, the larger room size guaranteed...

Comfortable room with good facilities, bathrobe and decent toiletries. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Apple TV on request, good wifi signal. Decent food, friendly staff, nice breakfast cooked to order. Pleasant countryside and quiet village.

The Bear's Paw is a fabulous hotel and restaurant. We stayed here for one night in an executive room and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, beautifully decorated and very clean. The location of the hotel means it's very quiet so we had a good nights sleep. The bed...

I mostly give this this place good reviews however on the last 3 visits this year I have found the service inconsistent, it goes from one extreme to another, to being completely bombarded by several different staff asking the same questions at the beginning of the night having, to asking twice for drinks, spoons, and the bill later on in...

Had a short overnight stay with dinner, breakfast and a couple of drinks. It's a truly great place to stay, comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Stopped in to the bar for a few drinks to be served by very friendly, chatty and helpful staff. The same when we moved on for dinner which was delicious. Good choice, nice sized portions...

A huge thank you to everyone at The Bear's Paw who helped us celebrate my Mum's 60th birthday. Alys and the team looked after us all so well, especially my Mum who even got a birthday card and a glass of fizz. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and patient as we had a large group of around 30. And...

Stayed here overnight in a fabulous room with our dog. The welcome we received was second to none, friendly, cheerful, attentative staff where nothing was too much trouble. Our time out is far and few between but to find this lovely place that allows and welcomes dogs is rare. We lunched and dined in the evening and we weren't disappointed,...

This was a great evening out, we had a few drinks at the bar, very good service and relaxing. Our starters were awesome, Debbie had the scallops and I had the shin of beef, so tasty!! I had the lamb hot pot for my main course, this was cleverly put together and again so tasty, comfort food at its best....

We visited the Bears Paw following a recommendation from our in-laws, booking a table early doors on a Saturday (6.00). The ambience is refined and the team are extremely attentive, making you feel at ease the moment you walk in. The food was perfect and in particular we enjoyed the sharing platters for the starter. The evening was rounded off...
