Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beautiful place, the lodge is very well designed and the Decor is perfect for its location and surrounding. The owners have done a great job and from point of booking I found sally to be very helpful and informative with all the required information.

The lodge offers you a chance to forget about your day to day city stress with it’s relaxing ambience and fantastic views.
The facilities on offer are perfect for your stay and the kitchen and lounge area offer an abundance of space.

Every room has a special personalised touch and the two top rooms were our favourites.

I would highly recommend this lodge and will most defiantly be going back in the future.

Thanks sally for your hospitality

Happy new year

This property is absolutely built for comfort and socialising. Enough en suite, incredibly well-designed bedrooms to satisfy 4 couples with space for 6 more people spread out over 2 rooms, we had more than enough space to fit our group of 10 comfortably in the property. The rest of the house I pretty much open plan with loads of comfy seating and a garden to the rear with phenomenal views.

A wonderful experience that we can't wait to go back to.

Absolutely amazing weekend. Sally and David were so helpful, kind and welcoming!
The house is just perfect there were 14 of us and a baby and it was so cosy, relaxing and really well equipped.
I will definitely come back again and recommend to so many people.

The views were unforgettable!

Many thanks from us all

We had the most amazing time here. The house is absolutely stunning, the photos don’t do it justice, it’s incredible!! So clean and everything you needed was provided. Sally, the owner, was so welcoming and so accommodating as we had to change the date many times due to covid. The hot tub that they provided was wonderful, so clean and such a brilliant bonus to our weekend. We would thoroughly recommend this beautiful property, the views were amazing and it was so secluded, peaceful and quiet. Thank you Sally!

This lodge was an absolute dream! Spacious, private and very clean. Sally left beautiful flowers everywhere, which was such a lovely touch. She was accommodating and communicative. I have booked to come again in a couple for months for my parents 60th!

We had the best weekend here, celebrating my fortieth. The house is beautiful, the photos don't do it justice. The views over meadows from the garden, the fun art work around the house, the architectural design of the place make it an inspiring and very special place to stay.
We did a really scenic walk straight from the house to a lovely pub for lunch. Everywhere was clean, thoughtful touches around the house (e.g, Binoculars and bird book left out in garden room) well stocked pantry, and lots of those fluffy white towels. The owners are really helpful and friendly. This place is the best large house I've stayed in, and we'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely homely place to stay, clean, lots of room, however, we found the biggest problem was getting water through any of the taps, when we rang for help we were told, oh yes that would be because you are at the end of the line for water, just be patient! Not helpful when we had to be out of the house by 9.30 and the loo won't flush properly. Internet was intermittent. We muddled through determined to have a good week.

Booked this lodge after inquiring at the local hotel which had no availability and so recommended this B&B. Prior to our arrival we had a few conversations on the phone with the owners and both myself and my husband really warmed to this lovely friendly couple. Could not have been more impressed, with this wonderful B&B in every respect, Firstly the welcome was first rate, again the warmth and hospitality of the owners made us feel really valued as guests. The location is wonderful, quiet and set back against some lovely views particularly from the breakfast table. The room was immaculate and the design of the whole lodge was stunning, managing to fit its country environment perfectly while having some really lovely modern touches like colored lights that interchange in the shower!. Our hosts really went the extra mile with some lovely touches in our room as well, like turning down the bed, chocolates on the pillows and bowls of local cherries, To top all of this off, breakfast was 1st rate, Sally's Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries has to be experienced, and again service with huge smiles!. All in all although this was a trip to a wedding, my husband and I felt we really had an amazing weekend away as a couple, and felt so relaxed and revived by our short break away from the kids. So finally yes of course I would highly recommend this amazing and unique B&B to anyone and also have to say great value for money. Hope to find the opportunity to visit again!
