This was our second relaxing visit to this B & B having discovered it last year.
Buckand House is a lovely cottage, comfortably and sympathetically furnished without being over fussy. A warm welcome from Frances and Roger and a most welcome pot of tea and cake upon arrival. Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts including the loan of spectacles when we lost ours. Buckland House is suitably positioned for visits to the coast and there is a good selection of places to eat in Bungay and Halesworth (including Sunday night and Bank Holiday Monday).
The cottage is on a main road, we live on a no through road but didn't find the traffic a problem - we were at the front of the house.
Must also mention the breakfast, Chris loved the fish cakes and we could tell that the eggs were free-range (from the cottage chickens), beautifully presented.

Like all the their previous reviews we to found staying here a most enjoyable experience. From the friendly welcome with a pot of tea and home make cake, to the clean, comfortable room, fresh milk and home made biscuits always available and super breakfast (especially the fishcakes!) it was a lovely short break. Thank you

Had a flying visit and stayed overnight in july, was made most welcome on arrival and the tea and cakes were much appreciated.
Car parking was good and made even more of an effort by making space in the secure stables for my motorcycle, this was very much appreciated.
we had a room at the back of the house, this was very quiet with a lovely bed and a clean large bathroom, the whole house was impeccably clean.
Roger even offered to run us to a local pub so we could have a drink with our meal, he even picked us up again later!
Breakfast was extremely good and very tasty with just enough of everything to set you up for the day ahead.
would stay again and recommend without hesitation.

I went to buckland house b&b with three members of my family and I can honestly say I have never felt so at home anywhere, it felt like I was going to my favourite aunt and uncle, they could not have been more welcoming and kind. The house and grounds were immaculate with great attention to detail. All the food was delicious, with home made bread, hot cross buns, yogurt, jams and marmalade to mention but a few, we had two lovely days out at the beautiful aldborough and southwold, but I have only scratched the surface and can't wait to go back. Five stars for comfort, food, atmosphere and making us feel so at home, ThankYou roger and Francis

I was surprised that Buckland House is right on a busy road. We had a room at the back of the house so the road was not noisy but not the country setting I expected. Our room (the Penny room) was rather small but clean and well-appointed. Biscuits, tea and cake on arrival very nice and homemade biscuits in room. Breakfast was fine, nothing special other than the delicious homemade lemon curd. Rather spoiled by the rat running round the garden we could see through the French windows. Very friendly owners though and plenty of car parking. It was fine here, nice, in fact, just not as spectacular as the website and reviews here suggested.

We've just returned from a long weekend at Buckland House and had a fabulous experience.
We received a very warm welcome with a lovely pot of tea and home made cakes awaiting us. Buckland House is very clean and roomy, and the beds are so comfy. I could have stayed in the shower all day, it was lush! Frances and Roger don't normally cater for children but they went to the trouble of adding an extra bed in my room for my daughter. Perfect. My children said that Frances' breakfast was "the best ever" and I'd have to agree!
Great location too. Not too far from Southwold but far enough away to get some peace and quiet. I would definitely recommend this B&B and will hopefully stay there again in the near future.

We stayed here for one night after camping at Latitude festival for four nights and before travelling onto London. We chose this place based on other positive trip advisor reviews and the fact that it offered better value for money than places in Southwold, but was still in close proximity by car. We received a very warm welcome from Frances and Roger and were made to feel at home. Our room was in the older part of the house with a spiral staircase. The tea making facilities with fresh milk from the guest fridge downstairs and homemade biscuits in the room were lovely to arrive to. The shower was nice and powerful and much needed after 4 nights in a field! After a busy weekend we were happy to relax at the B&B in the evening and enjoyed sitting and reading in the beautiful garden. Breakfast was great! I enjoyed sitting around the same table as other guests and the food was top quality and all home made, from the bread to the lemon curd and the fabulous fish cakes. Thank you for a short but sweet stay!

This is a charming and comfortable B&B. I am a bit of a clean freak and this place was spotless.
The owners are helpful and friendly and the pot of tea and home made biscuits on arrival were very much appreciated. Breakfast was yummy including home-made bread and lemon curd.
I agree the fish cakes were delicious but everything else looked fantastic so it was hard to choose.
If you are cycling ... which I would highly recommend as a way of visiting beautiful Suffolk , bikes can be stored safely in the stable block.
Good pubs nearby in the car for evening meals.
All in all a real treat.

We had an excellent 3 day break at Buckland House. Frances and Roger gave us a very warm welcome with a pot of tea and home made cake lovely after a long journey (we even had our cases taken to our room!)
The rooms were excellent with every comfort and breakfast next morning didn't disappoint with a wide and varied menu.
We would certainly stay again when in the area, and recommend to anybody.

Just what you want from a small B&B but dont always get these days. Friendly hosts, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast first class. As we were staying with friends the little guest lounge was especially useful to use to plan our trips etc.Frances and Roger are constantly looking to enhance the product which shows their professionalism and obviously successful attitude.
