Annie and Bob were wonderful hosts. The rooms were very comfortable and the atmosphere was very restful. I also found the beds very comfortable and this is unusual for me as i am a tall person. Will certainly return.

Previous reviews have said it all, but this b and b is so perfect that it would be unfair not to endorse them. Annie and Bob have created such a welcoming and delightful guesthouse. Our room, the spacious shower room, the delicious breakfasts, ( home...More

We have just returned from a three-night stay at Hall Farm Guesthouse (first visit) and wonder just what we can add to previous reviews, except to wholeheartedly endorse what has already been written. The farmhouse is in an idyllic situation in the Suffolk countryside, surrounded...More

We decided to get out of the heatwave in London and were very lucky indeed to find the Shepherd's Hut available. Our one night stay was the perfect antidote to a sweltering city, peaceful and relaxing and a great adventure for our toddler and baby....More

Hall Farm is situated in the beautiful valley of the River Blyth, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, very close to Southwold, Walberswick and Suffolk's Heritage Coast. The secluded Grade II-listed farmhouse More dates back to late sixteenth century and is surrounded by sheep and cattle-grazing meadows rich in wildlife. Charming, comfortable rooms and Aga-cooked breakfasts make Hall Farm an ideal place to stay while you explore the local area. Perfectly placed Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich and RSPB Minsmere are no further than a ten-minute drive away and Aldeburgh, Snape, and Orford are within easy reach. We are also a perfect place to stay if you enjoy walking and cycling. In fact you can stay without getting in your car again. Footpaths from the farm take you across meadows, heaths and by the banks of the River Blyth all the way to the coast, or inland to the market town of Halesworth. A secure lock up is provided if you want to bring bikes. If you travel by train, we can pick you up from our local railway stations at either Halesworth or Darsham, which are both ten minutes away. Trains from London take two hours and operate hourly. We have two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom and one with a private shower room. We also have a family room, connected to one of the bedrooms. Each room is furnished with quirky nods to local history. Our hearty breakfasts are cooked on the Aga and either served in the kitchen or sitting room overlooking our garden. After a day of exploring, relax and unwind on the terrace in our garden or cosy guest sitting room, with a pot of tea or coffee and homemade cake. An open log fire will greet you and quickly warm you up on colder days. Then you can plan your next day's activities, with the help of an abundance of local books and maps and our wealth of local knowledge. We pride ourselves on using local, fresh produce, from our farm when possible. At breakfast, as well as helping yourselves to fruits and muesli, you can select the cooked breakfast of your choice which includes everything from a full-cooked English to locally smoked haddock with poached egg. Eggs come from our free-range chickens and all meat is sourced from local butchers. Jams and marmalades are all home made using produce from our kitchen gardens and hedgerows. Bread is either home-made or from a local artisan bakery. And in the evening, just a five-minute walk away, is the Star Inn, our local pub, where you can enjoy Adnams beer and other local craft beers. The Star also serves 'simple home cooking using local ingredients'. In the adjacent village of Blyford is the Queen's Head and there are plenty of other pubs and restaurants to choose from in the area. Less
