We stopped here for only one night on our trip westward. Everything was as we would have wished. The Inn has that 'Olde Worlde' charm with plenty of exposed beams. Our superior room was in fact a suite. The only disappointment was that some of the items listed on the website as examples of the menu were not available the...

A lovely Devon thatched pub/restaurant in the heart of the country. Cosy surroundings, good food and service. Parrot in a cage (Captain)!, when he's behaving himself!! A little gem well worth seeking out.

Only stopped for one night on our way to Cornwall but what a delight. The room was lovely and the bed really comfortable. The evening menu was extensive and the food very good, the breakfast the following morning was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay and would highly recommend this pub which has so much character and atmosphere.

Stayed one night in this quaint, slightly rambling very old pub. All fittings, furnishings, bed linen and room facilities were great. Breakfast was of the best ingredients beautifully prepared. Spacious car park. Well signed entry arrangements for residents.

An enchanting pub with wonderful food the talkative parrot 'captain' who was very talkative along with friendly and efficient people to serve made a very sociable lunch. We were also able to take the dog in with us which made a pleasant change

Generous portions and great chips! We visited as a party of four adults and we all enjoyed our reasonably priced lunch. As a bonus there is a beautiful view from the pub car park which is on the other side of the (fairly quiet) road.

We stayed here for one night en route to the Scilly Isles. It is in a typical thatched cottage Devon village which is very rural - narrow roads to negotiate. We had a lovely room - large and very comfortable. The bathroom was big as well and had a full size bath as well as a walk-in shower. Everything was...
