I would like to preface this by saying that my review is not based on one visit but two and I certainly will not go again. I was met by the owner (I found out later), who refused to serve me when I came for lunch claiming that he just wasn't feeling well enough to serve me. I had a...

This accommodation is very well located for turtle watching and has very good access to the fairly secluded beach and lagoon. Also ideal if you would like to go on the nearby hike to Paria. This is fairly basic accommodation but excellent value for money and the air conditioning worked quietly and very efficiently. Our host was an elderly gentleman...

Rooms were clean .Ok hotel. Good laid back location in the forest. Outside not properly maintained. Beach is in a very lonely location. Be careful.. Sea was rough and dirty. River was too dirty for bathing. Dinner was overcooked.

First this is a real treasure for nature lovers! It is nestled between the north coast beach and the forest and while you really can't see the beach from the rooms you hear the waves washing on shore. The Marianne Beach, a two minute walk with free walk-in access, is a large nesting site for leatherback sea turtles. There are...

This place has it all, good food, great rooms and wonderful location. There is no shortage of things to do, with the Marianne beach just 5mins walk away and the start of the trail to the famous Three pools only 10mins by foot. There's also a turtle watching facility also only walking distance away, season permitting. Keep up the good...

I took my husband up to Laguna Mar to spend the first weekend in October as it was his birthday. I saw the place online and went only on reviews. The place is excellent if you are seeking a quiet weekend away from all the traffic and craziness of life. We arrived at night so waking up in the morning...

This little Hotel/Restaurant is situated next to the road in Blanchisseuse. If you don't feel welcome here, it will be your own fault. When you enter you will experience the warmth and kindness of the owner and his daughter. You can enjoy sitting between the birds in the little garden, or inside. The food here is of the best in Trinidad..all...

This hotel is in a fabulous position, rainforest at the back and the sea and a lovely beach across the road Not really accessible unless you have a car and therefore not within easy reach of any restos or watering holes other than Fred's across the road and a couple of shacks where you can buy drinks and cooked snacks...

The bar/restaurant is reasonably priced and reasonable quality (although the red wine, at the equivalent of 5 GBP a small glass is not!). The local staff are pleasant and friendly and mein host, Fred, is extremely sociable and pleasant. The apartments are in need of refurbishment - particularly No 6, which has a terrible smell which does not respond to...

Great location at the end of the road. Fred Zollna is a great host, lots of stories and very helpful. The lodge is in need of an overhaul but it does have a lot of faded character. The restaurant has an authentic local menu which was just great. We soon got used to the quirkiness of the place and really...
