This is right by the old downtown strip but far enough off to make for a quite night sleep. When we were there they were renovating to a retro hotel, although our room was very quaint, it was a good price, and I can't wait to stay again when it's completely renovated.
great location, you can walk to the fremont experience.friendly staff, convenient parkingresort fee was minimal but still very annoying. How can you stay in vegas when the rate for every hotel is not true , as the resort fee is hidden?
$22.60 plus tax Amenity Fee. You get bad internet, parking in a open and a bit seemly parking area. Not the bargain anymore in the Downtown area. There sister property The Gold Spike at least has a casino charges that, but not a basic motel like the Downtowner.
This place used to be the low price leader in the business. Not anymore. On Jan. 1 they raised their amenity fee from $6 to $23. They lost my business. I was a loyal customer for almost 5 years. I will never book with them again.
Terrible place. We stayed in the building across the street. When you walk in, you are greeted by an awful smell, something like urine/sewer. We walk into the room and there is a wadded up dirty t shirt on the floor, dirty towels left hanging in the bathroom, and the pillow…
"Stay in the NEW rooms once opened"
"Do not get a room at their building across the street. AC sounds like a jet engine and Internet barely exist."
"Get the RTC bus pass!"
"You may have to walk across to their apartment building; that building is close to the pool."
"choose a room far away from a banging door"
