Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have stayed at this hotel 3-4-5 times in past years, with the last time before this March 12, 2024 stay was in 2016. Never Again, the hotel is not in the best of shape, but their rates reflect they are the TOP OF THE LINE. Services are extremely slow (Registration Desk, Bell Captain, Engineer) My first night I was assigned to a room with absolutely NO HEAT and it was in the 30’s. The AC was blowing very cold air all night long. An Engineer came to my room and said he fixed it, but he did not and as soon as he left the AC seemed to have gotten colder. The next morning another Engineer came to my room and said he fixed it, but no Heat was felt, but plenty of AC. Fortunately, I was able to get another room and that thermostat was working, however, the water in the shower was so hot that it was very difficult to take a shower, but I was so happy to be able to sleep comfortably that I dealt with the scalding water very carefully. My tip is to make sure everything is working properly before you unpack and get settled in your room should you stay at this property. Out dated, even the so called remodeled rooms are outdated.

This Hotel has absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my 70 years. In fact, I would say they have NO customer service whatsoever.. We had not been to Las Vegas for 24 years so planned a quick get away for 3 nights. Before we flew there, I received an email that said if I was arriving after midnight I needed to notify the hotel. I called a day or two ahead of time and let them know that my plane did not land until 11:35 pm. I told them to make a note in my file to save my room as depending on the flight, luggage, and an Uber I probably might not get there till after midnight. We arrived to the hotel about 12:10 or so. When we got to the checkin area there was a line. Only 3 people were working. When we got to the counter it was around 1AM. The lady told me I was only staying one night. I said no and proved it to her. She then said she would be right back. Almost a half hour later, she came back and told us our room was not available. When we commented on that she told us that they give out most of their rooms around 4 pm. I complained about that and then asked her how she would feel if she paid and rented a Mercedes and she was given a Volkswagen or SmartCar for the same price. She had no comment. She then told us she was giving us a suite but just for the night. That we needed to check out by 11, come down to lobby, and then get a different room. I asked her if we had to get back in the long line and endure that wait. She told us to go to Customer Service and that it would go faster. We got our room keys. By the time we got to the room it was within minutes of 2 am. We were offered nothing: no apology, no free breakfast, nothing. Don't waste your short time staying g here, stay somewhere on the strip where as a customer you will be valued.

The Flamingo is in a great location on the strip and the staff were amazing and helpful! The room itself was okay. I booked a room with a view of the Sphere and we could see just the top of it - that was disappointing as I paid extra for that view. The bathroom was pretty gross and I'm not one to complain about a little dirt or stains on the carpet...this was gross. There was dried silly string on the bathroom door and the mold around the shower dispenser was concerning......I think I heard it growl at me! Love the location! Housekeeping could use some work.

Pros: - Great central location - Fun outdoor space Cons: - Poor housekeeping - Overpriced food court - Lukewarm water in the room - Linens and carpet stinks of weed - Problematic elevators - Unsupportive pillows and mattresses - Tiny fridge Skip this place and choose a more modern hotel.

Andre at the front desk is an absolute gem. He was so fun and kind to us at check in that it started us off on a great weekend. Thank you for such hospitality Andre. The rooms were very affordable and great for the price. Housekeeping did a great job each day cleaning the rooms. Easy on and off the strip. Great food options in walking distance.

The room itself was very, very clean. We had a terrific view from the 22nd floor and overall, an excellent stay. We were told we were in the remodeled building. We did not contact the front desk, with a few minor issues, as we were hardly in the room much. We were attending ASD March in Vegas. The only stop to a 5-star were a few room issues: the hot water faucet was screwed down so tight on the sink that we had to rotate the entire fixture to get hot water. And, do not count on the shower having full shampoo, body soap, or conditioner as an amenities. One container was completely removed, and the pump with conditioner was so old it was hardened. Daily cleaning was excellent. We hung up towels to reuse and they were replaced every day. Towels were soft and always had one extra set left every day. They could conserve so much here on laundry!

Came to be a tourist in Vegas seeing the Grand Canyon, did an ATV excursion, see the sphere, eat and play a little. The Flamingo was a great choice. It was in the middle of the strip action, room and facility was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot , the Live Flamingo - birds and wildlife animal area was a lot of fun, and had a back entry to the shops and retail section it shares with the Linq Casino. Great restaurants that are affordable . Shout out to the Chayo , Yard, Brick oven Pizza, Carlos & Charlie’s. Casino was fun too!

Disappointed. Make sure you bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner, because although there are dispensers in the bathroom for each, they are all empty. . May want to bring your own towels too; room provided only two very small bath towels, two hand towels, and two washcloths. Don't expect a microwave or coffeepot in the room as they are not provided either. Expect to pay a lot for any food or drinks at their food court (i.e., a hamburger & fries = $26) or at their Starbucks (1 medium house blend and 1 medium mocha = $19). Expensive... but after all Las Vegas is geared to the wealthy only!

This place is a dump. We wanted an “old Vegas” experience, and what better place to stay for such an experience, at least on the Strip, than The Flamingo, the oldest continually operating casino hotel on the Strip. So we didn’t expect the types of amenities we enjoyed at newer hotels in Vegas. But we also didn’t expect an immersive trip back to the ‘50s, complete with a spartan room (no refrigerator, coffee maker, or ironing board) that looked like it could have been untouched since Ben Siegel built the place. We didn’t expect a check-in staff whose rudeness was only exceeded by its indifference and lack of, or utter unwillingness to share, knowledge about the hotel’s layout, features, or attractions. We also didn’t expect to pay an outrageous “resort fee” for amenities, like one of the pools, that weren’t open when we were there. The only helpful and courteous people on the staff were the guys who worked at the cab stand. They were a joy, matched only by the knowledge that we would soon get a cab to get us away from this horror of a hotel. The Flamingo is a dump; don’t stay there. If you can’t afford anything else, simply stay home.
