Such a beautiful house in amazing surroundings! Mark & Melissa were the best hosts and we had such a relaxing stay. The accommodation was immaculate and nothing was too much trouble. Food was home cooked, fresh and delicious, we can't wait to return as soon as we can get someone babysit!

This place is an absolute dream. None of the advertising even does it justice. It's beautiful, secluded, quiet, surrounded by stunning views and completely private. The DVD collection is brill - there's loads of attention to thoughtful detail in all the provisions. The bed is huge, as is the house, but it still feels cosy and connected. The log fire...

Surrounded by peace and tranquility of the countryside, this is a fantastic place to get some rest and relaxation. The owners could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are a classic mix of traditional with modern conveniences and lovely personal touches. Ideal for whiling away the hours reading a great book in front of a roaring...

We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Melissa with a welcome hamper. The accommodation was absolutely first-class. A large breakfast kitchen, well appointed with views over the garden. A lobby with downstairs wc and library led through to the lounge/diner. This had a lovely log burner as well as underfloor heating. There was direct access to the lovely formal gardens....

The two of us found Pauntley Court the perfect place to relax and unwind. We stayed in the beautiful cottage with it's gardens and views that are a joy to wake up to. We were warmly welcomed by Melissa and the cottage has everything you could wish for. We loved it so much last year that we returned this year....

I have been visiting this area of Gloucestershire for 60+ years to visit family now reduced to my 90 year old aunt living in Newent, with whom we normally stay.At this time my wife and I decided, much to my Aunt's disappointment,to stay at a local hostelry as we thought a 4 night stay was too much for her. After a short...

This was our best stay in a bed and breakfast ever. Everything was outstanding and surprising. I don't think you can find anything better. The garden, the breakfast, the hosts everything was just perfect.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of October, and absolutely loved it. The house was immaculately restored with a brilliant mix of original features and mod cons, and had everything you could want/need for a relaxing stay. The grounds are beautiful and idyllic. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I needed a few days R&R and fresh country air and Elinor Fettiplace at Pauntley Court did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted by Melissa and Mark on arrival and they showed us around the gorgeous holiday let - which is much more spacious than the pictures suggest - and were on hand for anything we needed....

We chose Pauntley Court for our honeymoon, and we were so pleased we did. Just the most perfect romantic setting. We stayed in Elinor Fettiplace which is beautifully decorated and set in such lovely & extensive grounds. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the sunken garden and had a picnic down by the lake, so peaceful & beautiful. Melissa was so helpful...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pauntley Court must be one of the most enchanting houses in which to stay. It is said to be the birthplace of Dick Whittington, who travelled from here to become Lord Mayor of London. Pauntley Court has beautiful formal gardens and is situated in a stunning position. The village of Pauntley is on the edge of the Cotswolds, two and half hours drive from London. Mark and Melissa welcome you. We have two beautiful Bed & Breakfast rooms in the main house and a third bedroom in our holiday let Elinor Fettiplace, which is a self catering wing off the main house. Pauntley is a peaceful and magical place to come and relax and enjoy the beautiful gloucestershire countryside away from the strains of modern day life. ... more   less
