We spent a week at Alhnam farm, staying in the Gatehouse, 2 adults and 2 children (aged 10). We arrived in the middle of lambing season. The girls had the best experience, "helping" to look after all the newborn lambs, and making friends with the sheep dogs. Thank you so much to the Jenny and Harry for their patience and...

If your ideal break is spending time in beautiful isolated scenery, with genuinely friendly locals and stunning walks, then Alnham Lodge will suit your needs. The lodge is well-presented and set-up for a family or pair of couples, warmed by a wood burner that makes a great go focal point in an evening. The location makes an ideal launching point...

Lovely cottage in a scenic and quiet location. pleasant walking to be had locally and the Northumberland coastline with some very nice sandy beaches are not that far distant. Jenny was a very helpful and kind host who came and greeted us on arrival and made sure we were happy with the accommodation and information available. Also provided us with...

We stayed here from 11th July 2014 for one week . It was such a lovely peaceful location . The only sounds at night when sitting outside were those of buzzing bees and farm animals. If 10 cars passed the cottage in a day it was a 'busy day'!. The roads are mainly single track but it was not a...

We have just returned to reality from this most beautiful cottage set in idyllic countryside. Never having been to Northumberland before we did not really know what to expect, it couldnt have been more perfect. We arrived to a roaring log burner in the lounge and a wonderful chocolate cake and fresh farm eggs in the kitchen. Jenny was a...

The welcome couldn't have been better - a warm, clean and comfy cottage, with fresh cut flowers and a scrummy chocolate cake. Definitely one of the most comfortable and well equipt (wifi, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, electric blankets) cottages we have ever stayed in. The directions Jenny emailed were very clear (always welcome at the end of a long journey) and having...

We had a delightful stay at Alnham Farm in early March. We were very fortunate with the weather, being dry and sunny all week. When we arrived......I swear the horse in the field opposite waved.....the fire was lit and a big homemade chocolate cake was awaiting us in the kitchen, what a nice way to start a holiday! The hosts...

We had a wonderful stay from 12th-19th January 2014. This was our fist visit, but it won't be our last. We were made to feel most welcome, and were provided advice tailored to our stay and taste. Highly recommended and fantastic hosts.

Once again we return to bring in the New Year at Alnham. The Gatehouse has been upgraded since we stayed 2 years ago and what a welcome... Say no more for Jenny is a most splendid host... And the walks - even in wind and rain are as wonderful as ever!
