Some friends from Nebraska came to visit Las Vegas for a week, so of course I took them to see the beautiful and oh-so-close Valley of Fire. We spent an entire day there and they were blown away by the spectacular rock formations and the petroglyphs practically everywhere. They said that they wished that they could spend the night and...

Great spot next to Atlatl Rock, when we went in early October it was a DIY checkin where you find your own site and pay by putting money in an envelope and putting it in a postbox. We found a pitch with electric and water, which are further on than the standard sites and cost a little more ($30) per...

We stayed here for only 1 night but it was amazing. We camped surrounded by beautiful red rocks. The site included power and water, a covered table, BBQ and firepit. So a fun place..we rode bikes around the campsite as well.

Reservations are NOT accepted so we decided to make a quick drive here a month prior to check out the grounds/facilities and scout the...

Wow! What a nice campground for desert camping surrounded by red rocks! It is stunning! We camped in a tent here for 2 days. There was a water faucet right on our site. It was very convenient! There were flush toilets and showers wich we did enjoy since it was really really hot in the valley!! Don't expect to find...
